A winner of 16 races from 25 starts, she won the Eclipse Award as American Champion Female Sprint Horse for her accomplishments in 2015. La Verdad was trained by Linda Rice and primarily ridden by jockey Jose Ortiz. Here in the initial running of this stakes event (which was "frozen out" last weekend), #2 QUEZON has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in each of her last five starts, including a "POWER RUN WIN" facing slightly better company (+1) in her last start. #4 HOLIDAY DISGUISE, the pace profile leader has won three straight, including back-to-back "POWER RUN WINS" in her last two outings. My choice in this competition is ALLEGLORY. Her 53 average has this filly with among the strongest Equibase Speed Figures in this race. Will likely be one of the leaders of the bunch going into the halfway point of the race. Could beat this group given the 58 Equibase Speed Fig posted in her last outing. SANGRIA SWEET - The average class rating alone makes this horse a contender. This trainer has the strongest return on investment in this group of horses with entries racing at this distance and surface. CAMERON STREET - Has put up solid speed figures in dirt sprint races in the past. She should be carefully examined given the quite good speed figures.

TAKE YOUR PLACE - Was in a Maiden Special race at Woodbine last time around the track. That event had a class number of 85 and he is moving down in this event. A certain contender. Nice return on investment for this jock and handler duo. Have to forget about that last grass race. This colt should do better hitting the main track in this event. Entered a Maiden Special race at Woodbine last time out and raced on the soft turf finishing eleventh. Have to do better in this event. INVERTED - Don't often see a beneficial return on investment like +86. This jock/handler duo has done well together over the last twelve months. I always like to see a campaigner getting Lasix for the 1st time. Kenneally adds it on this one today.

HODOR - A little change in scenery has got to do this horse well. Reading the PPs, it seems like he likes to visit the winner's circle at different tracks. Another way to determine class is earnings per start. This animal has the top in the bunch. I think he'll be close at the finish line. AGAINST THE ODDS - Zalalas brings him back again. I propose you stay with this hot gelding. YOUNG AMERICAN - The recent bullet 145.2 work should put this gelding on track for today's contest. Last ran at Laurel and finished fourth. Reviewing his PP lines, I see he was close at the wire, within five of the winner. INTERCEPT - Multiple wins in this horse's life, all at Penn National. Could add another win in this field.
