They basically just have to win the game to cover tonight at home against the Utah Jazz. This is a Jazz team getting a lot of respect right now due to their 5-game winning streak. But they could be without leading scorer Donovan Mitchell tonight. And don’t forget that the Pelicans traded for Nikola Mirotic, who single-handedly sparked the Bulls’ turnaround this season. The Trail Blazers are worth a flyer here on Monday night.
Portland has a great advantage here situationally.
They come into this 5-1 ATS in their last 6 against not conference opponents without having any rest. As for Detroit, they are just 1-4 ATS against teams coming in without rest.
Some other key trends to note here. Trail Blazers are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 Monday games. Trail Blazers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.
This is a matchup where Portland should be able to push the tempo and really cause some issues for the Pistons.

I think the price is right here to back the red-hot Jazz in Monday's game at New Orleans. Utah is one of the hottest teams in the league right now. They have won and covered each of their last 5 games, which includes wins at Toronto and San Antonio, as well as a 30-piont win at home over the Warriors. They have scored at least 120 and shot at least 56.5% from the field in each of their last 3 games.
Considering the Jazz are still on the outside of the playoff race in the west, I think we get another big effort here, especially given the Pelicans are one of those teams they are chasing. New Orleans has lost 3 of 4 and this is clearly not the same team without Cousins. Utah is also 15-4 ATS in their last 19 road when playing only their 4th game in a 10 day stretch and are now 9-1 ATS after 2 or more consecutive wins. Give me the Jazz +1.5!

This contest will mark the end of a five-game homestand for the Edmonton Oilers and the finale of an eight-game road trip for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and I expect to see fireworks at Rogers Place Monday night.
The visitors are 5-2-0 on the trip and they've had little trouble to find the net, scoring 11 goals in the last two games alone and five of the seven games have gone over the total.
