2-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 220 New Orleans at Detroit (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12)

The Pistons and the Pelicans are going to put points up tonight. Detroit is on the back-to-back so their defensive legs won't have as much pop and New Orleans will take advantage. The Pistons will also take advantage of the fact that New Orleans just cannot defend anyone. The Pelicans give up over 113 points per game and Detroit has the ability to score, especially now that Blake Griffin is part of their roster. Look for this game to be closer to 230 than to 220.

Take Texas ATS as my 4-Unit CBB Smash for Monday night. This pick falls into one of my top CBB systems and the Texas really should have beat Baylor on the road back in January so I feel we are getting a great line with them at home tonight. The Longhorns took 19 more shots than Baylor in that 9-point road loss back on January 6th but shot just 34.3% as a team and made it to the line just 5 times compared to Baylor who made it to the line 21 times. Basically, the Longhorns could not have played worse against Baylor and still lost by just 9 points. Texas has shot 46.7% as a team at home this season while holding opponents to shooting just 40.6% against them and they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after a loss. Play Texas ATS

Both teams come into this game struggling badly as the Hakes have dropped 5-straight and 8 out 10 while the Coyotes have dropped 5 out 6 and 7 out 10. But the Blackhawks have had excellent success against the Coyotes winning 9-straight and tonight I see this trend continuing. Both teams had Sunday off and the Coyotes lost at home on Saturday in the Flyers 4-3 in a shootout and the Coyotes have dropped 3-straight home games. Blackhawks should have Anton Forsberg in the net tonight and his has split his last 4 starts and his last 3 road starts his has gone 2-1
