PROLETARIAT - Has to be considered against this field displaying respectable figures as of late and an average Equibase Speed Figure of 87 under similar conditions. MY LADY MUNNINGS - I'm counting on this horse to run a good one today. SOMETHING BETTER - This jockey/conditioner duo has been producing a very positive ROI, right at +50. Ranks highest in (EPS) earnings per start. A dominant try in this event will add to that total. JAX - Ran last time out against a better field at Penn National. The move down the ladder based on class rating points should suit her well. I have to like this filly's winning probability at the shorter trip. When the field turns for home, she will have a good shot. Has much speed, and the bullring will work in her favor.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 COWGIRL CUT (ML=3/1), #5 OH SO QUICK (ML=5/1),

COWGIRL CUT - Tough to support any racer that runs as well as she did and then lays up and doesn't workout at all. OH SO QUICK - Finished fourth in her most recent race with a pedestrian speed fig. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this group.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - SOMETHING BETTER - Based on my skill, a front runner positioned in an inner post on a bullring in a race less than 1 mile gets extra points in my book. Should be in a good spot moving down the stretch.

AMALUNA - This jock and trainer have a profitable return on investment when they partner up. This mare usually does her best running late. Look for her back early in the race and closing strongly on the tiring speed horses. This mare notched a strong speed rating of 89 in her last clash. That speed fig should be high enough to triumph this time around. A thoroughbred coming back this rapidly after a sharp contest is a good sign. This mare is very familiar with the winner's circle at Gulfstream Park. I expect a repeat trip in this event. WHAT ABOUT TONIGHT - After the affair aboard this animal on January 26th, the rider is going to be in touch with the filly much better. Navarro brings her back again. I recommend you stay with this hot filly. The addition of blinkers usually means that a trainer wants a pony to show more zip or to keep her attention focused. RAGING TOWN - This filly is very reliable, frequently finishing in the money. The jockey/trainer duo of Ortiz and Tagg has a strong ROI together. 69-82-88 are last 3 Equibase speed figs. Improving each time out is something she should do again right here.
