The Buckeyes have shot 50.3% in conference games this season while holding opponents to shooting just 40.2% against them which would explain their 13-1 conference record. The Buckeyes will dominate the boards tonight and they have the revenge factor after losing SU to the Nittany Lions back on January 25th despite being favored by 10 points. Penn State shot a ridiculous 78.6% from beyond the arc in that road win over the Buckeyes which will not happen tonight. The Buckeyes are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 conference games. The Buckeyes are also 6-1 ATS in their last 7 trips to Penn State. Play Ohio State ATS as we bounce back here tonight.

I like the value here with the Eagles as a double-digit dog against the Tigers in Thursday's Ohio Valley action. I believe we are simply seeing an overreaction due to the fact that Morehead State comes in having lost 6 straight, while Tennessee State enters on a 6 game winning streak.
While the Eagles have struggled to win games, they have been a great bet against the number. Morehead State is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games, 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs a team with a winning record.
On the flip side of this the Tigers are a mere 3-8 ATS in their last 11 off a game where they covered the spread and are just 13-27 ATS in their last 40 as home favorite of 6.5 to 12 points. Take Morehead State!

Tom Thibodeau will have his team focused and ready to go tonight in their final game before the All-Star Break. That’s because the Minnesota Timberwolves have lost three of their last four games coming in with two of those losses coming by a combined three points. They want to get that bad taste out of their mouths in a big way tonight.
They should be able to do that against the Los Angeles Lakers, who just traded away two of their best players to the Cavaliers. They got back Isaiah Thomas, but their two games with him have not gone well.
The Lakers lost 123-130 at Dallas and then 117-139 at New Orleans in their last two games. Thomas was ejected early against the Pelicans last night, leaving them short-handed. And now the Lakers will be playing the second of a back-to-back and won’t have much left in the tank for the Timberwolves.
Minnesota has dominated Los Angeles in their two meetings this season. They won 121-104 on the road and 114-96 at home. The Timberwolves have won 13 of their last 14 home games with their only loss coming to Houston. The Lakers are 0-5 ATS in their last five games when playing on 0 days’ rest. Minnesota is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 home games. Bet the Timberwolves Thursday.

Free Play from Doc’s Sports. We are going to start the weekend early with a winner here from the AAC. Wichita State is learning that this league is a lot tougher than the old Missouri Valley. And I think that the Shockers will have a tough time putting the Owls away in this one. Wichita State is coming off an easy win over Connecticut. And they have a huge game at Cincinnati coming up on Sunday. I don't think that Wichita State is going to be that focused on Temple. But the Owls have won five straight games overall, and they already beat Wichita State in OT back on Feb. 1 in Philadelphia. Wichita State will most likely win this game. But I don't think that it will be nearly the blowout that the spread will indicate. Half of Temple's losses this year have come by four points or less, and I think that they will play the Shockers tough again here. Take the points here.

The Lakers lost their best defender when they traded Larry Nance Jr. to the Cavaliers. They got back Isaiah Thomas, and elite scorer but arguably the worst PG defender in the entire NBA. The results in his first two games with the Lakers show that they are going to have to try to win shootouts. They combined for 253 points with the Mavericks and 256 points with the Pelicans in their last two games. The Timberwolves have combined for 225 or more points with their opponents in four of their last five games, and the OVER is 5-0 in Timberwolves last five games. Give me the OVER.

I'm recommending a play on Ohio State on Thursday. Chris Holtmann is doing an amazing job in what was expected to be a rebuilding year in his first season as coach of Ohio State, which is 22-5 and 14-11 ATS and 5-0 ATS on the road. The Buckeyes get a chance to avenge a loss to Penn State on Jan. 25 when both teams shot the lights out with OSU shooting 56 percent from the field and the Nittany Lions countering with 58.3 percent. The Buckeyes since have won five straight, including an 82-64 blowout against Iowa on Saturday following a one-point win as a 10-point underdog at Purdue. Kaleb Wesson led five players in double figures with 18 points versus the Hawkeyes and the Buckeyes shot 52.7 percent. Ohio State has a .505 field goal percentage on the road and it has covered 11 of its last 14 conference games. Penn State is just 6-13-1 ATS its last 20 games against teams with winning records dating to last season. I'm recommending a play on Ohio State on Thursday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
