The Lakers are playing zero defense going into the All-Star break. After giving up 130 points in last Saturday's loss at Dallas they allowed 139 last night at New Orleans. I don't think it's any coincidence the poor play on defense has come after the team traded away Clarkson and Nance Jr for one of the worst defensive players in the league in Thomas.
I have a hard time seeing the Lakers figuring it out on defense against the Timberwolves. Minnesota is one of the elite offensive teams in the NBA. They are averaging 110.9 ppg at home and 117.6 ppg over their last 5. The Timberwolves also haven't been playing all that great on defense, as they are allowing 118.6 ppg over their last 5. Give me the OVER 226!

Penn State is a great story in this breakout year for the Nits. They beat Ohio State 82-79 two weeks ago in Columbus by knocking down an incredible 11 of 14 treys. Lightning generally doesn't strike twice. Penn State is 3-22 straight up in the series with the Buckeyes who have won nine straight in this gym. Ohio State is 17-2 straight up in L19 and 2-0 this year as a road dog. Might consider Penn State getting five or six points but not as a favorite. Ohio State 76-69.
