NCAA-B | Pennsylvania vs Columbia
Play on: Pennsylvania -3 -103 at 5Dimes
Free Pick on Penn -
I like the value here with the Quakers laying a short number on the road against the Lions. Pennsylvania had their 5-game winning streak snapped last time out in a loss at Harvard. That puts them in a prime bounce back spot here against Columbia. The Quakers are a dominant 21-9 ATS in their last 30 road games off a conference road loss.
Last time out the Lions found themselves in a shootout at Brown, losing 88-91 as a 1.5-point favorite. Fading Columbia off a high-scoring game has been very profitable. The Lions are a mere 2-9 ATS over the last 2 seasons after a game where they allowed 80 or more points. They are also 0-3 ATS this season and 2-8 ATS over the last 3 seasons after scoring 85 or more points. Take Pennsylvania!

NCAA-B | Brown vs Harvard
Play on: Brown +9½ -102 at 5Dimes
Brown +9.5 This play just missed out on our premium card. The Harvard Crimson and the Brown Bears face off on Friday night, and the underdogs have the value in this game.
In terms of record this year, these teams are very similar, and Brown has been a good cover team on the road.
So far this year, they are 5-2 ATS on the road. For Harvard, they are 2-2 ATS at home. The Bears offense has really been clicking as of late.
In the last five games, they are averaging 84 points per game. They should have enough offense in this game, to keep it close.
Back Brown.
Good Luck, Cappers Club.

NCAA-B | Pennsylvania vs Columbia
Play on: Columbia +2½ -110 at 5Dimes
Play - Columbia (Game 812).
Edges - Lions: 7-0 ATS in their last seven games off a SU favorite loss when facing .666 or less opponents… Quakers: 0-3 ATS as a favorite at Columbia in games in which the Lions are off a SU favorite loss… With that we recommend a 1* play on Columbia. Thank you and good luck as always.

NCAA-B | Oakland vs Cleveland State
Play on: Oakland -5½ -110 at betonline
Free College Basketball Prediction From Doc's Sports: Take #803 Oakland over Cleveland State (7p.m., Friday, Feb. 16)
The Golden Grizzles have not lived up to their conference expectations this season, and they cannot afford to take anybody lightly the rest of the regular season. They need to continue to win games to improve their seeding in the winner-take-all conference tournament come March. Oakland already beat Cleveland State this season by double digits, and that is how this game will go as well. The Vikings are one of the worst teams in the country and will be a quick out once the conference tournament begins. Do not miss out on Doc's Sports Weekend College Basketball Card. With March Madness just a couple of weeks away, now is the time to sign-up with a veteran handicapper that has 46 years in the industry.

NHL | Flyers vs Blue Jackets
Play on: Flyers +126 at betonline
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Game #51 Friday Free Pick Philadelphia Flyers Money Line (+) @ Columbus Blue Jackets @ 7:05 ET - Both of these teams are off of losses but the Flyers previously had won 4 straight games while the Blue Jackets previously had lost 5 of their 7 prior games. Both teams have big games on deck but one could argue that Columbus is in more of a lookahead situation since Pittsburgh is the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions and also near the top of the Metropolitan Division. For the Flyers, the Rangers are up next but they're currently dead last in the standings. The Blue Jackets have owned this series of late so there certainly will be no shortage of motivation for Philadelphia in this one. Also, the Flyers have won 7 of their last 10 road games while Columbus has lost 3 of last 4 home games. Give me the underdog pricing in a situation like this! Free Pick PHILADELPHIA

NHL | Flyers vs Blue Jackets
Play on: Blue Jackets -135 at 5Dimes
My 1* Free Play is on the Columbus Blue Jackets (7:00 EST).
Philadelphia enters off a 5-4 shootout loss to the Devils, while Columbus comes in off a 6-3 road setback to Toronto.
The Flyers average 2.95 GPG and they concedes 2.84. Goaltender Michael Neuvirth is 7-10 with a 2.58 GAA this season, including 3-3 with a 2.55 GAA on the road.
The Blue Jackets average 2.60 GPG and they concede 2.77. Sergei Bobrovsky is expected between the pipes tonight and he’s 24-22 with a 2.45 GAA on the year, including 13-9 with a 2.10 GAA in front of the home town crowd.
I’ll point out though that Philadelphia is just 1-5 in its last six when playing on two days rest, while Columbus is 5-1 in its last six after allowing five goals or more in its previous outing.
The Blue Jackets have struggled all year with offensive consistency, but they’ve been much better of late with 13 goals tallied in their last three games.
I give Bobrovsky the big nod in net over his inconsistent counterpart as well.
All of the above factors combine with what I feel to be a very reasonable line to make the home side a very enticing investment option on Friday night.
Consider Columbus in this matchup.
Good luck…Larry

NHL | Blues vs Stars
Play on: Blues +130 at 5Dimes
Friday NHL free play. My selection is on St. Louis over Dallas at 8:35 pm et on Friday.
Solid value with the Blues here as they head to Dallas to take on a Stars squad that is coming off an ugly 6-0 home loss at the hands of the lowly Canucks. The betting marketplace obviously things this is a strong bounce-back spot for the Stars at home but I'm not so sure. St. Louis will have no shortage of motivation itself after suffering a 4-3 overtime loss in Nashville on Tuesday. That was a game the Blues let get away from them, blowing a 3-0 third period lead. Look for them to make amends in Big D on Friday night. Take St. Louis (8*).

NHL | Islanders vs Hurricanes
Play on: Islanders +175 at 5Dimes
ASA FREE PLAY ON New York Islanders Money Line (+) over Carolina Hurricanes, Friday at 7:35 PM ET
Revenge game for the Islanders as they lost at Carolina in mid-November but had won each of their prior two road games versus the Hurricanes. The Islanders have won 12 of 17 this season and 48 of 77 long-term when they enter a game off of a divisional game. The Isles just wrapped up a homestand and have won 3 of 4 this season when they enter game having played each of their 3 prior games at home. While the Islanders are off of a big win in divisional action, the Hurricanes are off of an ugly loss in divisional action. The Canes have lost 10 of 15 this season when off of a divisional game. Carolina is over-priced when considering that, prior to their recent 3-game winning streak, the Hurricanes had lost 7 of 9 on home ice! We are forecasting the upset here and this is a great value spot considering the above factors. FREE PLAY ON New York ISLANDERS on the money line in early evening action Friday.

NHL | Flyers vs Blue Jackets
Play on: Flyers +127 at betonline
Philadelphia Flyers +127
The Flyers are worthy of a small move here on Friday night.
Columbus has been one of the more sketchy teams over the past month, really struggling to find consistency.
Philadelphia has been sneaky good in that same time frame, pushing themselves up the ladder and into playoff contention.
They've done it in a variety of ways, but mostly have found success with their defensive abilities. In this situation, G Michal Neuvirth holds a 2-1-0 mark with a 1.99 goals-against average and .934 save percentage against the Jackets.
Some trends to note. Blue Jackets are 0-5 in their last 5 when their opponent allows 5 goals or more in their previous game. Blue Jackets are 0-4 in their last 4 Friday games.
This is too nice of a price.
Back Philadelphia.
Good Luck, Razor Ray.

NCAA-B | Rhode Island vs St Bonaventure
Play on: Rhode Island -2 -102 at pinnacle
10* FREE NCAAB PICK (Rhode Island -2)
I'll take the bait here with the Rams as a mere 2-point road favorite against the Bonnies. Rhode Island comes in with a perfect 13-0 record in the A-10 and have already shown they matchup well with St Bonaventure, defeating them 87-73 at home earlier this season. What will draw people to the Bonnies is that they come in having won 7 straight, are 10-1 at home and Rhode Island is likely to be without a key contributor in E.C. Matthews. The thing is, the winning streak has come during a favorable portion of the schedule and while the home record is strong, they haven't faced any top teams on their home floor. As for the Matthews injury. The Rams are a deep team, thanks in large part to a 6-week stretch that Matthews missed earlier this season. I think not having Matthews will have Rhode Island even more locked in as a team.
Rhode Island is a team that likes to attack the basket and that's an area where the Bonnies have struggled. St. Bonaventure ranks 11th in the A-10 in defending the 2-point shot and a big reason is they don't protect the rim (rank 12th in blocks/game). On the flip side the Bonnies are a team that likes to shoot the 3 and no team is better in the A-10 at defending the 3 than the Rams. Give me Rhode Island -2!
