4-Unit Play. #713. Take Sacramento Kings +14.5 over Houston Rockets (Wednesday @ 8:05pm est)
Let's look to make it a 5-1 Run today in the NBA. If you are the Sacramento Kings, what do you have to play for? Not much. You are not going to the Playoffs and it is not often that you are relevant. Tonight however, they are relevant. And, they get to face a team who is contending for the title and they face 2 first ballot hall of famers in Chris Paul and James Harden. This Kings team has been playing better and getting rid of George Hill for their youth movement teamed up with their veterans has been good for this team. This is a Kings team that has done well of late and they are playing hard. They just went on the road and beat Dallas 114-109 as a 7 point underdog, they hung in there against Minnesota and lost by 5 as a 13 point underdog, they beat Chicago earlier this year at home, beat New Orleans on the road as a 9 point underdog and beat Miami and Orlando Outright on the road as well. Let's roll with the Kings here as they lost by just 5 to this team earlier this year, playing high quality basketball and with the Rockets having Minnesota on deck and likely looking slightly ahead, we like the Kings to hang in there and likely do well today.
4-Unit Play. #768. Take Auburn -9.5 over Kentucky (Wednesday @ 9pm est)
This one might get ugly. Do you know why Auburn is such a heavy favorite today? They lost by 20 to this Kentucky team the last time they played them and Bruce Pearl has out "Kentucky'ed" Kentucky. They have done a fantastic job recruiting and though there are some sanctions and this team is being investigated, they understand that they have a small window to do well here. This is a team that that is 6th in the nation in offensive efficiency, top 30 in 3 point field goals and top 40 in defense. They have revenge, they lost at home in their last game to Texas A&M by 1 point which has to irk them and they likely bounce-back in a big way against Kentucky today at home. Plus, Auburn gets to make a point to Kentucky that there is a changing of the guard here and they will want to take this opportunity, on national television to make a very clear statement today. Auburn is ranked 11th in the nation for a reason, Kentucky is 0-4 ATS of late in the SEC and Auburn is 6-1 ATS against the SEC and 5-1 ATS at home as well and with Kentucky struggling to hold on the ball as they are outside the top 200 in turnover margin, this could end up being a blowout in a big way today.
