Great spot to fade N. Carolina St who after their big rivalry game with N. Carolina went on the road and pulled an upset at Syracuse. Asking them to pull off back to back upsets is too much to ask in my opinion and over the last 2 seasons following a road game in which they covered the spread NC St. is just 1-8 ATS in their next game losing those games by an average of 17 points a game. Wake Forest got a win in their last game beating Georgia Tech soundly 79-62. That was a confidence building win and I look for them to record another big win today. My numbers have Wake Forest winning by 7-9 points.

Vandy meanwhile hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat Miss St to raise their home ATS record to 3-9 ATS. Florida hasn’t won here since 2014 which adds extra motivation.

S Miss is a little brother to UAB in hoops and haven’t beaten them since 2013. They get a UAB that is out of synch as mentioned in our play against them last week .

The truth is they were 5-9 in non-conf action against the #6 schedule and now they are off an upset home loss to Hawaii playing a Cal Poly team that is #312 of the 351 teams and is off a 3 OT battle against UC Davis on Thursday night. The Mustangs are now 1-10-1 ATS their last 12 games shooting 34.7%, 30.4% and 39.3% their last 3 games and they know have to face the best defense in Big West action.

North Dakota may only be 2-6 their last 8 games but they’ve won both home games against bottom tier Big Sky foes (S Utah & Montana St) while losing at home to the conference top team Montana and losing 6 road game. Now home for a 2nd straight game they face a Northern Arizona team that is 0-6 ATS against teams with a losing record (they don’t look past them) and are 1-12 SU their last 13 games while failing to cover their last 4. The Lumberjacks in a tough B2B playing in altitude Thursday and early evening game today.

Hoosiers have made some line-up changes which has allowed them to win and cover 3 straight albeit all as a favorite. IU is now 11-3 ATS as a favorite including EIGHT straight covers thanks to a defense which has allowed only 42% shooting the last 8 games. Iowa meanwhile is a free-for-all going 3-10 SU and 4-9 ATS and their defense has allowed 8 of their last 12 foes to shoot 53% or better!

The Citadel is #2 in the country in tempo. That doesn’t always translate to high scoring games because they are a double digit dog in almost every game. Well, now they are the better team and can control the tempo at home. VMI has the #348 defense out of 351 teams and when the team played at VMI they totaled 169 points with the Bulldogs only shooting 41.5% and 24.1% from 3pt . The Citadel defense is also poor at #332 and when the Keydets played the other teams with defense that rank 300 or worse they are 3-0 O/U this season.
