LUCKY CLERIC - The most dangerous animal in racing is the lone speed horse. If they let him get away early they probably won't catch him. While the finish was disappointing, this horse made a good stretch move last time around the track at Golden Gate Fields. Should do much better right here in this race. MR. FULLERTON - I think that a sprinter coming off a layoff will usually run his best in the 3rd or 4th start back. Ranked at the very top in (EPS) earnings per start. Another indicator that this animal has the class to take this race. This one has increased his speed ratings from a fig of 70 to 75 to 78 in succession. RIVER JOE - This horse comes out of a great barn for first time starters. McCanna has a very strong ROI (+53 percent). First-timer has workouts over the Golden Gate Fields strip, which is always a plus. This rider and trainer's equines have been generating a profitable ROI. McCanna adds Lasix to this one today. I'd look for an increased ability. BLACKHAWK BEAUTY - Amador rode this thoroughbred for the initial time last time around the track and comes right back today. I like to play this angle, a horse coming back off a solid contest within the last 30 days.

PARTICLEACELERATOR - It looks like Pereira had to learn about this gelding on January 13th when riding him for the initial time. Back aloft again today. Lets try to beat the morning-line favorites with this gelding. Just missed last out, but ran a pretty decent race. Forgive the off the board finish on the off track last race out. Without a sloppy track, has a shot right here in this race. SWINGING STAR - Just missed hitting the board on Nov 12th at Del Mar. With decent M/L odds in this event, he has my interest. Based on his last TrackMaster turf number alone, I'm going to play this animal. I expect a lot from this beautiful animal. His speed ratings under similar conditions are tops in this field. Came home fast last time around the track at Del Mar. That type of move bodes well for his chances right here in this race. CURLY'S WATERFRONT - Jock hops back atop after getting to know the thoroughbred by riding last out. That's always a good to see. I just may give this one a good chance. Should rebound off last race where he did run off the board, but was within 5 lengths at the wire. Came home fast last out at Santa Anita. That type of move bodes well for his chances in today's race.

ROYAL OPERA HOUSE (IRE) - Tough to back any runner in a sprint affair if he hasn't hit the board in a sprint in the last couple of months. This questionable contender ran a pedestrian speed fig last race out. He shouldn't run better and will likely suffer defeat today running that number. AWESOME HEIGHTS - This steed hasn't been near the victor at the finish recently. Finished fourth in his most recent race with a pedestrian fig. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this field. PAPPOU - Would have to get better off that eighth place finish last time out to make an impact here.
