HI HEAT BOY - I don't normally play a morning-line favorite that hasn't been to the track in the last few weeks. Speed figs tell a narrative of deteriorating condition. This thoroughbred likes to be there at the wire, but doesn't usually finish on top. Keep out of the top spot. STERLING APPEAL - Tough to put your cash on the win end of any horse that finishes second and third as regularly as this participant does. MULA MANO - This animal hasn't been hitting the board in either of his last two races. Improbable that the speed figure he recorded on May 12th will be good enough in this race.

I've got to go with WABEL. Has to be carefully examined versus this group of horses in this race displaying very good numbers recently and an average speed figure of 98 under similar conditions. Prominent in earnings per start at the distance/surface in this bunch. Have to suppose this one will make a good showing following the quick turnaround. BROTHER CHUB - His 93 average has this gelding with among the strongest Equibase speed figs for this event. With a very good 95 speed fig last time out, will clearly be a factor in this competition. GIANT TRICK - Has ran well in dirt sprint races. Serey has him trained very well to break sharply out of the gate.

OUR LAST STAR - The Feb 7th contest at Turf Paradise was at a class level of (65). Dropping down in class ranks a significant amount, so she should be in a good spot to take this race. Trainer, Hazel, has been deliberate with this mare off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. Have to forget about that last grass race. This mare should do better hitting the main track right here. SILENT CODE - Jock jumped on this mare's back for the first ride on February 14th. Should be acquainted with the animal even better in today's contest. This mare is rounding her way back into shape. Should run well today.

RUBY'S GONE AGAIN - 59/47/40, are the deteriorating Equibase speed figs for this steed. KOLOCHA - In this type of situation, this pony's inability to close ground in the last clash is definitely troubling. Tough to keep chasing this sort of 'bridesmaid' horse. Garnered a most unsatisfactory speed figure in the last race in a $5,000 Maiden Claiming race on Jan 8th. Not likely to see an improved performance off of that fig. CITY TALE - 4/1 is not offering enough value for any horse in a sprint of 6 1/2 furlongs that hasn't finished in the money in a short distance clash of late. Unlikely that the speed figure she garnered on February 14th will hold up in this affair.
