8-Unit Play. Take #068 Toronto +100 over Pittsburgh (Saturday, March 10th at 7:00 PM ET)
Take Toronto on the moneyline as my 8-Unit NHL Game of the Year for Saturday night. This pick falls into one of my top NHL systems and I have the Leafs winning this game big at home tonight. The Leafs have dropped 4 straight games, however, they have won 9 in a row at home and they have the revenge factor against the Penguins tonight. The Penguins have struggled on the road this season and they are just 2-5 in their last 8 road games when playing a team with a win rate above .600 at home. The home team is 4-1 in the last 5 games played between these two teams and this will be a hungry Leafs team that the Penguins face tonight. The Leafs have not played since March 5th so they have had plenty of time to rest and prepare for this game tonight. The Leafs are 5-2 in their last 7 games when playing with 3 or more days rest and they have averaged 3.4 gpg at home this season. The Leafs power-play has been on fire converting at 38.5% with the extra-man over their last 5 games and the Penguins penalty-kill has struggled with opponents converting at 26.7% against them over their last 5 games. The Pens power-play has struggled converting at just 14.3% over their last 5 games and they have averaged just 2.9 gpg on the road this season. The Pens have allowed 3.6 gpg over their last 5 games and 3.3 gpg on the road this season leaving them with a 14-20 record on the road. The Leafs have averaged 4 gpg when playing with 3 or more days rest this season while allowing just 1.88 gpg which shows just how prepared they are with rest of 3 days or more. Play Toronto ML as we move to 6-1 my last 7 NHL plays.
