3 Unit Play. Take #872 Villanova -5 over West Virginia (7:25p.m., Friday March 23 TBS)
Both teams had dominating starts to the NCAA Tournament as both teams beat their opponents by double-digits. West Virginia is known for their tough defense but tonight I see the Wildcats offense being too much for the Mountaineers. Nova was impressive against Alabama last Saturday beating them 81-58 and tonight I see the Nova Wildcats taking control of the tempo and I see them advancing to the Elite 8. West Virginia is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against Big East teams and the Wildcats are 8-1 ATS when playing on a neutral site game.
4 Unit Play. Take #873 Texas Tech +2 over Purdue (9:55p.m., Friday March 23 TBS)
Purdue beat Butler without Isaac Haas but tonight I see the Texas Tech Red Raiders taking control of this game and shocking the Purdue Boilermakers. Texas Tech team defense was outstanding against Florida last Saturday and yes I know the Gators shot only 39.7 percent from the field but that was because of the defense of the Red Raiders. Purdue has struggled to cover games going 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games and with Purdue again playing without their big stud Haas I see the Red Raiders taking the lead in the second half and not looking back. Texas Tech is 7-3 ATS against non-conference games and the Boilermakers are 1-10 ATS following a SU win.
