15-7 3 wks ago nba 7-2 / nhl 8-5
WE look to get our NBA week back on track after a slow start to proceedings. (0-3)
It’s been a positive month overall on the hardwood and we’re ready to finish the month in style.
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Charlotte Hornets
The Cavs are coming off a horror show in Miami where they were completely shut down offensively.
The concern for Cleveland is that they once again could be without Kevin Love in their line up after their star forward took an elbow to the face. If Love is forced to sit after undergoing concussion protocol it leaves a huge void offensively for this team as seen during his time away out of the rotation.
LeBron James will certainly put in a big performance after being held a quiet night against his former team but he cannot single handedly do enough to drive this number over it’s huge total.
The Cavs offence has certainly taken a noticeable dip in production with Kyle Korver away from the team and when this team isn’t able to stretch the floor with Love and Korver it leaves a lot of pressure on James to find other ways to get to the basket.
Charlotte’s offence has been on a tear of late, thanks in large to the stellar efforts of star point guard Kemba Walker.
The concern here is that the Cavs do not defend the point particularly well but given the circumstances they’re certainly going to make a point of emphasis to step up and combat the efforts of Walker in this one.
Cleveland’s offensive production on the second night of a back-to-back has been largely concerning for the team and with Charlotte still clinging on to some hope of a playoff berth there’s every reason for the home team to slow down the Cavs scoring here.
While four of the last five games between these sides have gone Over the points total, this is easily the highest number offered by bookies in this match up. In fact, only one of the last 10 between these sides has gone Over the 229.5 on offer here.
The Cavs have seen 10 of their last 11 games go Under the points total when playing the second of a back-to-back and we have a great lean on that trend continuing here.
If Love is ruled out this number will drop significantly, but even if he does suit up we’re still getting a total far above the 218.9 points we’re projecting with hime in the line up.
Tip: Under 229.5 points @ $1.93 (Crownbet)
New York Rangers @ Washington Capitals
Tip: Washington Capitals TT o/3.5 goals @ $1.81 (Sportsbet)
Arizona Coyotes @ Vegas Golden Knights
Tip: Over 5.5 goals @ $1.87 (Crownbet)
