Let’s make it three straight winning days to start the new year:
Washington Nationals @ Cincinatti Reds
The Nats will look to start 2-0 on the season behind the trusty arm of Stephen Strasburg, who was one of our biggest cash-cows last season. The former no. 1 pick finished last season in tremendous form where he gave up an earned run in just one of his last eight games. The right-hander finished 2017 with a 15-4 record to go with his impressive 2.52 ERA. The concern for Washington in their opener was their inability to put runs on the board, which is something they didn’t struggle to do last season against the Reds. What we do like are Strasburg’s chances of blanking the Reds once more after teammate Max Scherzer struck out 10 in his opening game at the mound. We’ve got a really strong lean on the Unders in this one and feel we’re getting a good price for buying the extra one on offer. Luis Castillo has done a solid job silencing the Nats big hitters before, with Bryce Harper going 1-for-5 against him and Ryan Zimmerman 1-for-6. A similar showing from him will see this one stay comfortably Under just as it did in the season opener between the two.

7-Unit Play. Take #811-812 Loyola/Michigan GAME TOTAL UNDER 130.5 (Saturday, March 31st at 6:00 PM ET)
Take Loyola/Michigan GAME TOTAL UNDER as my 7-Unit CBB Smash for Saturday. This pick falls into one of my top CBB systems and I have this game staying well under the posted total today. The O/U is 1-8 for the Ramblers in their last 9 games overall and the O/U is 1-4 for the Wolverines in their last 5 non-conference games. The Ramblers have allowed just 60.6 ppg over their last 5 games with opponents shooting just 40.1% against them. The Ramblers are also very good at protecting the perimeter shot with opponents shooting just 32.6% against them from beyond the arc this season. The Wolverines are also a very strong defensive team with opponents shooting just 39.2% against them over their last 5 games while averaging just 60.4 ppg. The O/U is 8-19 for the Ramblers in their last 27 games when playing a team with a winning record. I see a low scoring tight game with everything on the line here today, and because both teams have had several days to prepare. Play the UNDER as we move to 7-1 with my last 8 CBB plays.
2 Unit Play. Take #811 Loyola-Chicago +5.5 over Michigan (6:05p.m., Saturday March 31 TBS)
Cinderella continues to play in the NCAA Tournament and the first game at the Final Four should be a good one. Loyola-Chicago (11 Seed) goes toe-to-toe tonight with Michigan and both teams come into this game red-hot and playing outstanding ball on both offense and defense. If the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers don't win this game they still cover this game and we start the Final Four with a small winner. Loyola-Chicago is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 NCAA Tournaments games and the Ramblers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games.
4 Unit Play. Take #814 Over 154.5 Villanova vs Kansas (8:50p.m., Saturday March 31 TBS)
The first Final Four game between Loyola-Chicago and Michigan will be a low scoring game but this matchup we will see tons of offense. The Villanova Wildcats are averaging 82.2ppg and their last games against Texas Tech they shot the ball poorly. The Kansas Jayhawks come into this Final Four game trending OVER games cashing 3-Straight over tickets and the Jayhawks are 5-1 O/U in their last 6 games. Both teams will want to spped up the tempo early and in the second half I see both teams hitting the 3-ball and this game flies over the total. Villanova is 14-5 O/U in their last 19 games and the Jayhawks are 6-2 O/U O/U in their last 8 NCAA Tournament games.
