Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:
New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox
One of sports greatest rivalries will take to the stage once more as the Yankees head to Fenway Park to take on a red-hot Red Sox outfit. Boston’s pitching staff have done a terrific job of slowing down opposing batters, but this will arguably be their toughest test to date. That being said, Chris Sale has done his part this season and while he failed to record a win over the Yankees last season he did still hold a very respectable 2.65 ERA in that series. His opposite, Luis Severino, has started this season just as finished 2017. What’s more impressive is his showing at Fenway, where he posted a 0.64 ERA in his two outings. While both pitchers have us leaning towards a tight and tense affair it’s the absence of Xander Bogaerts for Boston that really pushes this lean towards the Unders. Bogaerts leads the team in home runs this season (2) and owns a .368 batting average on the season. Anytime you lose that much firepower on an already slow offence is reason to step this way on the total. There’s a reason this number is so heavily backed on other agencies and this price won’t stay around for long either.

Houston Astros @ Minnesota Twins
The Astros hitters haven’t quite taken off the way we expected but they too have been able to lean on their pitching to get the job done. Left-hander Dallas Keuchel will return to the mound in this one and will want to show a bit more discipline than what we saw from him in his last start against the Orioles. The good news however is that the Twins hitters have been almost non-existent at home this season, with the team batting at .228 in their three appearances at Target Field. They’ve averaged just 2.67 runs per game in that stretch and aren’t showing signs of breaking out any time soon. Meanwhile, Jake Odorizzi will look to continue his incredible dominance over the Astros – owning a 2-0 record against them with a 0.47 ERA in three starts. Houston is hitting .194 in its last five starts and given the way both lineups are trending right now it’s hard not to fall in love with this total.
