The Mets are off to the best start in franchise history and have Steven Matz on the hill tonight who faces Zach Davies for the Brew Crew who is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA. I am not getting in front of the Mets as they open the homestand tonight against the Brewers. Both pitchers were rocked in their debuts and pitched well in their second games. Milwaukee is 2-7 their last 9 trips to NY to play the Mets however are 7-2 their last 9 in the series, which tells me they have issues in NY.

The Mets finished strong last year and are continuing this year, dating back the Mets have won 14 out of their last 17 games, they have won 9 out of their last 10 games this season, and dating back, their last 8 home games they have won 7 of them. The Brewers struggle against southpaw pitchers, they have batted just .133 as a team their last 5 games against lefties. The run support will be with Matz and the Mets here on a fairly short number, worth a strong move here.
