    On to my complimentary winner...

My free winner is on the Milwaukee Brewers on the Run Line, as I think their lineup is finally heating up and will be a problem for the Miami Marlins' staff.

Last night we saw the Brewers open the series with a 12-run performance against the Fish. The four-game set continues tonight, and the momentum will carry over.

The Marlins have struggled to produce runs on the road, with just 20 runs scored while ordering room service. That's the second-worst road run production in the bigs. The team also has the second-worst road batting average at .193.

With Miami's road struggles, and Milwaukees improving offense, this is a blowout waiting to happen.

IMPORTANT: As you know every single Run Line play and Total wager will automatically list the scheduled starting pitchers at the time of the wager. But with this game I am not concerned with who is pitching for either team tonight and want you playing this game on the Run Line regardless. That said, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be sure you have action even if one of the pitchers scheduled to start is scratched, by betting the game over again in the event that takes place.

My free play for tonight is out of the American League West, as I like the Texas Rangers to get it done against the Seattle Mariners.

Both teams are in off losses, but the M's have dropped three straight and now head into hostile territory, where the Rangers are just 2-8, and will be looking to improve. If there was ever a series for them to get themselves right, it's this one here, with the M's reeling after getting thumped at home by the Houston Astros.

Seattle just wrapped up its series last night, while the Rangers had last night off to chill, and prepare for the weekend. Texas did take two of three from defending World Series champion Houston during a recent road trip, so there should be some confidence looming.

Play the cheap chalk at home, as the Rangers get it done.

Time for another Western Conference opening round series to be put to bed. Thus far, both the Golden Knights and the Sharks have gotten through to the conference semis in 4 games, and now here on Friday it is Winnipeg's turn to end their series against Minnesota with the 2 goals or better win at home on Friday.

The Jets have gone 34-7-2 at the Bell MTS Centre, and that includes a 3-2 win to open this series against the Wild on the 11th, and a 4-1 win 2 night's later on the 13th. In fact, Winnipeg has won 5 in a row at home now over Minnesota.

Connor Hellebuyck has been just a little better than his counterpart Devan Dubnyk in this series, and is fresh off a shutout win on the road on Tuesday that has the Jets on the brink of the semifinals tonight.

Minnesota has struggled on the road now for a while, as they have lost 6 of their last 7 games played on enemy ice.

With Minny staring elimination in the face, they will be faced with the prospect of pulling Dubnyk earlier than normal should they fall behind in this contest. If that is the case, I am counting on the Jets scoring an empty-netter that very well could be the decider when it comes to this Puck Line release. I have a suspicion that it won't come down to the empty-netter, that the Jets will take flight before then and win this game by 2 anyway.

        Winnipeg on the Puck Line.
