NHL | Penguins vs Capitals
Play on: Capitals -120 at MyBookie
Ricky's Free play on the Washington Capitals -115:
Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. In today's game there is no doubt that home ice is particularly significant. The Capitals are 91-38 in their last 129 home games, and it seems like a bargain getting the team with the better regular season record at close to a pickem in Game 1 on home ice. The absence of Evgeni Malkin and Carl Hagelin will also hurt the Penguins.
Key Trends:
- The Capitals are 16-5 in their last 21 overall.
- The Capitals are 16-7 in their last 23 games playing on 2 days rest.
- The Capitals are 75-32 in their last 107 home games versus a team with a losing road record.
Verdict: Take Washington -115

MLB | White Sox vs Royals
Play on: Royals -145 at BetPhoenix
My 1* Free Play is on the Kansas City Royals (8:15 EST).
The Royals have lost eight of ten and they enter off a two-game inter league series loss to the Brewers. A date vs. the lowly White Sox is just what the doctor ordered though to get untracked (note that Chicago has lost nine of its last ten.)
The visitors hand the ball to the volatile Lucas Giolito (0-3, 9.00 ERA) who was most recently shelled for nine runs off five hits and seven walks with just one K over two innings in a 10-1 loss to Houston on Saturday.
Giolito had a decent spring showing, but that performance has not carried over into the regular season. Note that just 31 of his 72 pitches were for strikes in his latest setback. Also note that Giolito has now walked 19 batters over his 20 innings of work thus far.
The home side counters with Jake Junis (3-1, 2.03), who earned a win over Detroit in his latest outing, giving up two runs off four hits and a walk over eight innings while striking out four. Junis threw 72 of his 106 pitches for strikes and there’s no reason not to think that the hard-throwing right-hander won’t be able to carry that momentum over here.
For the most MLB handicapping comes down to the starting pitching, and when trying to properly assess a starting pitcher, often “recent form” is the best indicator we have in doing that.
Recent form displayed by these two starters suggests that Giolito has another long night ahead of him. Junis on the other hand has a prime opportunity here against this anemic White Sox line-up. Consider laying the price in this big time mismatch on the mound.
Good luck…Larry

The 5-17 Kansas City Royals cannot be favored this heavily against anyone right now. Jake Junis has put up good numbers for the Royals, but that doesn’t warrant the Royals getting this much respect. The White Sox will go with Lucas Giolito, who has enjoyed great success against the Royals. Giolito is 1-0 with a 2.33 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in three previous starts against Kansas City, and the White Sox have gone 3-0 in those three games. Kansas City is 1-12 against right-handed starters this season. Give me the White Sox.

NHL | Sharks vs Golden Knights
Play on: Sharks +130 at 5Dimes
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Game #81 Thursday Free Pick San Jose Sharks Money Line (+) @ Vegas Golden Knights @ 10:05 ET - This looks like the perfect spot for the road team to steal one. It has been a long layoff for both hockey clubs. That said, no advantage there. The Sharks had only 14 losses in regulation on the road this season while the Golden Knights had 10 regulation losses on home ice. The point is that Vegas doesn't have the huge home edge that one might think they would have. The Golden Knights are only 2 for 26 on the power play their last 9 games. The Sharks are a fantastic 8 for 25 on the power play their last 7 games. Don't be surprised if special teams play a key role in this one as both teams have been getting solid goaltending. That said, I'll gladly take the team that has been clicking on the power play and is also offering solid plus money line value here. Free Pick SAN JOSE

MLB | Rays vs Orioles
Play on: Orioles -117 at BetPhoenix
DMack's Free Play for Thursday, April 26, 2018 is on the Baltimore Orioles (Bundy Listed)
Sometimes in sports betting, you just have to pull the trigger and hold your nose. That's what we have here with the 9-13 Rays and the 6-18 Orioles. The Rays have won five straight but are just 3-6 on the road. Chris Archer has been throwing batting practice (1-1, 6.58) in his five starts whereas Dylan Bundy for the O's (1-2, 1.42) just can't catch a break or get a couple of runs of support. Bundy is razor sharp and if the Orioles can score some runs on Archer which hasn't been a problem in the past (7-7, 5.11, 16 LT starts), Baltimore should win this game.

Penguins vs Capitals Free Pick April 26, 2018
The Capitals finished at the top of the Metropolitan Division this season, five points ahead of the Penguins. This earns them home ice in this second round best of seven series that starts tonight. History tells us that the Penguins have dominated this rivalry in the post-season, but I think things could play out differently here in 2018. The Caps have already faced adversity in their first round series versus Columbus, and after losing the first two games on home ice, they won four straight. Braden Holtby came in to replace Philip Grubauer, and he's 4-0 as a starter in the post-season. The Penguins won't have Evgeni Malkin for Game 1, and he scored a team high 42 goals during the regular season. Ovechkin scored five goals in six games in the first round, including a pair of goals in the series clinching win in Columbus in Game 6. I'll take Washington in Game 1, and if I had to pick a team to win the series I'd go with the Caps as the underdog with home ice advantage.
