The NHL Totals play is on the over 5 goals in the San Jose and Vegas game at 10:05 eastern. Both days have had 3+ days off and both should be fresh. These teams played up tempo in both games here this season and these two might tighten up until later on in the series, Both teams are off sweeps and the Sharks are 5-0 over after scoring 2 or less last out and 9 of 11 over vs a team that scored 2 or less in their last game. The Sharks are 4-0-3 to the over in round 2 games and 12 of 16 over off a win. Look for this game to go over the total. On Thursday the round 1 total of the year is up in NBA along with the A.L. 7-Unit Play. #911. Take Seattle Mariners -102 over Cleveland Indians (Thursday @ 6:10pm est)
We roll with the Mariners here in a nice spot for Paxton to do well. Paxton remember started the year a bit rough but he is much better than his 1-1 record of over a 5 era. This is a pitcher that was 12-5 with a 2.98 era last year and has come out of the gates a bit slow but is starting to show that he is getting his stuff back and he is getting back to quality form. Seattle is also quietly 11th in batting average and 9th in stolen basees. Plus, they face an Indians team that has a decent number of wins but take a closer look, they struggle against teams that are at or above .500 such as losing to Toronto, Minnesota and the Cubs. Part of this reason is their lack of of offensive consistency as they are nearly dead last in the Major Leagues in Batting Average. Plus, Paxton comes off an ugly los at Texas and he likely bounces back here from that start and he lost to Cleveland earlier this year giving up 6 runs in in 4.2 innings and 2 homeruns in that contest and he will want some revenge here as he comes out focused. Plus, with Clevinger coming off a complete game fantastic performance over the Orioles look for him to have a classic let down here against a Mariners team that can string hits together. Clevinger is over valued right now with his past few starts and he gets hit today by Seattle with timely hits as the Mariners will pick up the likely win. Mariners are 9-2 in Paxton's last 11 starts on 4 days of rest and 7-2 in Paxton's last 9 starts against the AL Central. Note, we have enjoyed the Winning MLB Season so far and we look forward to working just as hard in the WNBA which is just 10 days away and we are expecting a very strong season this year similar to last yearComment
