and to accuracyplease, that was it for the Punter plays Thursday- here's Friday - GL! Swami
PS, the 1.5 unit plays are stronger.
WE’RE coming off a much needed 2-0 sweep with our MLB plays for members and look to keep that rolling into the weekend.
Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:
Philadelphia Phillies @ Washington Nationals
The Nationals are streaking after falling to an early season slump, with the team rattling off five-straight wins. Gio Gonzalez returns to the mound having been the man that helped them kick-start this streak. The left-handed veteran was terrific in keeping that Arizona lineup in check and should feel confident about doing the same against this inconsistent Phillies line up. In 23 career starts against Philadelphia, Gonzalez owns a very respectable 2.69 ERA and certainly has had the better of Phillies hitters Maikel Franco (1-for-19) and Aaron Altherr (2-for-17). Meanwhile, Nick Pivetta will be hoping to get back on track after losing his way a little against Atlanta in his last start. He hasn’t had a great time trying to stop this Washington lineup in the past, where he’s 0-1 in two career starts against them with a 7.45 ERA. He’s given up eight runs, including four homers, in just over nine innings pitched against them. We feel we’re getting terrific value for the better team overall as well as the more in form in this match up. We’ll definitely take the home side in this match up here.
Tip: Washington Nationals @ $1.73 (Unibet) (1 unit)
Pittsburgh Pirates @ Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers took a comfortable series sweep over the Reds to help them get back on track and will want to carry that on against a road-weary Pirates outfit. Both sides will send forth pitchers who are coming off strong outings, but we haven’t seen enough of Pittsburgh’s Nick Kingham to get too carried away just yet. vMeanwhile, we know and like what we’re seeing from veteran Junior Guerra at the moment and are more than happy to side with him knowing he’ll do his part in keeping Pittsburgh’s offence in check. The 33-year-old has allowed just three runs in 22 innings pitched this season and he’s shown he can keep the likes of Polanco (0-for-10) and Freese (1-for-9) under control in the past. It’s obviously too early to look into his 0.82 ERA but given what we expect from him, and what we’re projecting to get from the Brewers hitters, we do feel these odds are well above where they should be. Take the home side in this one as soon as possible before odds begin to drop.
Friday card has the NBA Round 2 Total of the year and a 5* Side play. In Bases we have the N.L. West Play of the Month and the NHL Game 5 Historical System Play. MLB Comp Play below.
The MLB Comp play is on Houston at 9:40 eastern. The Astros are a large favorite but they do fit a solid 91% system here tonight that plays on road favorites off a home favored loss vs an opponent off a home favored loss that scored 4 or less runs. The Astros are 7-1 as a road favorite in this range and they have won 16 of 21 on Fridays. Arizona is 4-19 as a home dog in this range and has lost 9 of the 13 in the series with Houston, Cole makes the start for the Astros and he has been stellar to start the year going 5-1 with a 1.73 era. He has a 2.50 Era vs Arizona. He will oppose K. Medlen making his first start of the season and this is a tough spot for him. Look for the Astros to take the opener. On Friday the Round 2 NBA Total of the year is up along with a 100% 5* Side. In Bases the card is led by the 100% N.L. West Game of the Month. In the NHL we have a top play from a game 5 NHL Playoffs historical system. Message or see us on facebook to jump on. For the MLB Free play. Play on the Astros. Rob V- GC Sports
