      PUNTER
Oakland Athletics @ New York Yankees

The Yankees stole a win as they came back to force a rubber-match in the final game of their series with the A’s. Having ace Luis Severino on the mound will certainly bode well for them, although he hasn’t fared particularly well against Oakland in the past. Severino owns a 4.50 ERA against the A’s and while he hasn’t recorded a decision against them the Yankees lost both those starts. It’s tough to see them losing this one though, even if we do see Severino giving up a couple runs, largely based on the fact their offence could be in for a field day. Brett Anderson is coming off a horror showing against Houston last time out having allowed nine runs and striking out none. In his career against the Yankees, he is 0-5 with a 6.81 ERA in seven appearances, and taking on the best hitting line up in the majors likely won’t change those stats. New York is averaging 5.77 runs per game on the season and we have them going well above this number in this one. If Oakland can contribute 2-3 runs here we are confident the Yankees hitters will do the rest. Our data has this one going for 10.8 runs and we feel the value on the Overs is terrific.

      Tip: Over 8.5 runs @ $1.94 (Unibet)

      Washington Nationals @ Arizona Diamondbacks

NHL RECORD: regular season 89-52 (+22.76 UNITS)

WE continue to cash in big on the ice this season and look to keep that going with some more NHL winners.
Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:

          PUNTER nba poffs 4-8
NBA RECORD regular season 62-55 (+4.31 UNITS)
THE Celtics will be the latest team to try and put an end to the LeBron James reign in the East when they host the Cavaliers for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Boston have relished being branded as underdogs all season long and they’ve continued to play with that chip on their shoulder so far these playoffs.
Brad Stevens has certainly cemented himself as the best coach in the league with what he’s done with this team in the playoffs and it’s clear that half-court basketball is something he’s thriving in.
That being said, slowing down James is an all together different task and one that may not have a solution. The Cleveland-born native is averaging 34.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and nine assists so far this postseason and has shown he can do it all himself if necessary.
Their 4-0 sweep of Toronto probably isn’t as shocking as it seemed prior to that series starting given the Raptors reputation as being perennial underachievers, and the favourable on-court match up that series presented for the Cavs.
What will be interesting is to see whether the Celtics can slow the tempo and force a series similar to what we saw Indiana deliver in their first-round match up with Cleveland.
It’s clear that the Cavs offence only works in the open-court and getting their shooters open on the perimeter is what allows James to pick you apart when attacking the rim.
Boston’s perimeter defence has been superb these playoffs – they completely nullified Philly’s threat from beyond the arc and they’ll look to do the same again given their length and athleticism.
Stevens has shown time and again that he’s willing to let one or two players get theirs, with the focus then being to shut down contributions from everywhere else.
James could well be allowed to drop 40+ in this game so long as Kevin Love, JR Smith and Kyle Korver are all held to under 15 points. That being said, the Cavs have shown they can put up points on this Boston defence.
On the other side of things, there’s no doubt that the Celtics will be aware of Cleveland’s defensive lapses and they’ll want to find mismatches that help exploit the half court set up. Jaylen Brown will be encouraged to attack the basket with JR Smith on him, and Jayson Tatum has shown his ability to get buckets regardless of the situation.
This total has barely shifted given the support on the Overs and while that does have us slightly concerned our projections are pointing to a high-scoring opener here. Boston have seen their last five straight home games go Over the points total when playing teams with a winning record and we’re siding with that trend continuing here.
Our projections are showing 210.2 points being scored so take the Overs in what should be a very, very interesting start to this series.
          Tip: Over 204.5 points @ $1.92 (Sportsbet)

                4 Units - #959 St Louis (-125) over San Diego 5/13 *4:10 EST

Taking Wainwright for the Cards off the DL who has owned the Padres over his career, a 2.07 ERA in 13 career games against them. Eric Hosmer won the game for the Padres last night in 13 innings where they won 2-1, but today I will take the Cards to win the series with a better offense and knowing that Hosmer when at KC struggled big time against Wainwright, 2 for 15 and 5 strikeouts. That said the Cards are 8-3 in Petco Park their last 11 and off a tough loss I expect the better team to win. Clayton Richards a good pitcher for the Pads, but I think his lack of run support will hurt him here and St Louis wins a lower scoring game. Padres 1-7 their next game after a win! LISTED PITCHERS ONLY.

4 Units on #959 St Louis - Thanks and go Cards!! TG

This game features the 16-25 Texas Rangers and the 25-16 Houston Astros. Matt Moore just might be the worst starter in Major League Baseball. This line kind of tells that story. Dallas Keuchel might not have the best pitchers line but he's been very solid over 6 of his last 7 starts and some have been down right dominant. Dallas would like revenge on his March 30th loss to the rival Rangers look for them to put a beat down on the Rangers today.

6-Unit Play. Take #056 Tampa Bay -1.5 +150 over Washington (Sunday, May 13th at 8:00 PM ET)

Take Tampa Bay on the puckline as my 6-Unit NHL Smash for Sunday. This pick falls into one of my top NHL systems and this is pretty much a must win for the Lightning to have a legit shot at this series. The Lightning are 5-0 in their last 5 games after putting up 2 goals or less in their previous game and the Lightning are 38-15 in their last 53 home games. The home team is 20-8 in the last 28 games played between these two teams and the Lightning is the #1 offensive team in the NHL. The Lightning are 3-0 the last 3 seasons when trailing in the Playoffs and they will be ready to go from the start of this game unlike Game 1. Also 4 of the Lightning last 5 wins were by at least 2 goals so there is plenty of value with the puckline here tonight. Play Tampa Bay PL as we move to 19-5 my last 24 NHL picks
