Free Pick on Angels +
I'm recommending playing the Angels on the +1.5 run line in Wednesday's matchup with the Rockies in Colorado. I just think the value here is too good to pass up on LA to either keep this within a run or win the game outright.
It's been a historic run by the Rockies' starters here of late, as they have set a new franchise record with 9 consecutive Quality Starts. I could see that streak coming to an end today. Tyler Anderson will take the mound for Colorado. He's got a 3.78 ERA and 1.320 WHIP in 7 starts and is up against a red-hot Angels' offense.
Los Angeles is averaging 6.9 runs and hitting .311 as a team over their last 7 games. They also are scoring an average of 5.9 runs/game on the road, where they are 13-4 on the season. Angels are also 12-3 in their last 15 vs a starter with a WHIP great than 1.30. Take Los Angeles!

MLB | Angels vs Rockies
Play on: Rockies -143 at BetPhoenix
Jack’s Free Pick Wednesday: Colorado Rockies -143
The Colorado Rockies are feeling really good about themselves right now. They have gone 6-0 in their last six games overall with five of those wins coming on the road. They play their next five games at home and already beat the Angels 4-2 at home last night.
Tyler Anderson has pitched very well for the Rockies this season, going 2-0 with a 3.78 ERA in seven starts. He has actually been at his best at home, going 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts. Anderson is also 2-0 with a 2.51 ERA and 0.977 WHIP in his last three starts overall.
Jamie Barria is no more than a fill-in starter for the Angels. He is only averaging 4 1/3 innings per start in his three starts this year. And those three have come against the Rangers, Giants and Orioles, three of the worst teams and lineups in baseball. His challenge gets much more difficult inside Coors Field tonight against this potent Rockies’ lineup.
The Angels are 1-4 in their last five games vs. a left-handed starter. The Rockies are 7-0 in their last seven games vs. a right-handed starter. Colorado is 4-0 in Anderson’s last four starts. Bet the Rockies Wednesday.

MLB | Astros vs A's
Play on: A's +1½ -105 at BMaker
GERRIT COLE (R) vs. DANIEL MENGDEN (R)
Oakland when playing at home really gets keyed up to go against top tier pitchers like the Astros starting hurler , Gerrit Cole as is evident by the following record
OAKLAND is 9-0 against the money line in home games vs. an AL starting pitcher whose ERA is 2.90 or better over the last 2 seasons and is 10-1 L/11 against the money line in home games vs. an AL starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.100 or better.
Athletics are also 19-7 in their last 26 home games vs. a right-handed starter.
Meanwhile, As starter Mengdens has seen his Athletics go 4-1 in last 5 starts overall.
OAKLAND is 5-0 L/5 against the money line as a home underdog of +150 to +200 .. OAKLAND is also 9-2 against the money line in home games when playing against a good team (Win Pct. 54% to 62%) dating back to last season.

MLB | Nationals vs Padres
Play on: Nationals -123 at BetPhoenix
This price is low enough to back the Nationals, winners of nine of its last 10 games. San Diego is 6-14 in its last 20 games. The Padres' lineup is minus injured Wil Myers and Hunter Renfroe. The loss of Myers makes San Diego's lineup really weak. The Padres were shut out last night by Jeremy Hellickson and three relievers. San Diego isn't likely to get a lot of offense considering its lineup last night had Travis Jankowksi leading off, Frenchy Cordero hitting clean-up and Raffy Lopez batting sixth. Now the Padres face Gio Gonzalez, who is pitching as well as he ever has during his seven years with the Nationals. Gonzalez owns the eighth-ranked ERA in the National League at 2.33. Only once in his seven starts this season has Gonzalez given up more than two earned runs. San Diego ranks 28th in batting average and 27th in runs scored. The lay price is fairly low because San Diego is going with rookie Joey Lucchesi, who has pitched well at Petco Park. He's 2-1 with a 3.08 ERA at home. The league is finding out about Lucchesi, though. He's 1-2 with a 5.17 ERA in his last three starts. Lucchesi has yielded four homers and nine walks during this three-game stretch spanning 15 2/3 innings. The Nationals are averaging 6.1 runs in their last eight games. (Editor's note: Sizzling Stephen Nover is 13-3 on his last 16 NBA plays and 4-0 on his past four baseball totals. Stephen has an NBA play going today along with an MLB over/under in addition to this free selection.)
