    MLB | Mariners vs Tigers
Play on: Tigers +145 at MyBookie

    Dave’s Friday Free Play:
    1* on Detroit Tigers +145
The Key: We’ll take a shot with the Detroit Tigers at a great underdog price at home here today against the Seattle Mariners. They have the advantage of being rested after having yesterday off, while the Mariners just finished up a series in Toronto and had to fly into Detroit overnight. The Tigers also have the edge on the mound despite being the underdogs, which is the big reason to like them at this price. Matt Boyd sports a 3.00 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 6 starts this year, including a 1.47 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in 3 home starts. Marco Gonzales is 3-2 with a 4.41 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 7 starts this year for the Mariners. The Tigers are 4-0 in their last 4 games following an off day. Take Detroit.

        MLB | Brewers vs Rockies
Play on: Rockies -121 at pinnacle

The Rockies fell short last night which was their second straight loss following a six-game winning streak. Colorado remains 3.5 games behind Arizona in the National League West which has also lost two straight games and it needs to improve production at home. They went 11 games over .500 at home last season but they are just 6-9 through their first 15 games as the pitching has struggled. Going back, the Rockies are 5-0 in their last five games when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game. Milwaukee remains a half-game behind the Cardinals in the National League Central and now owns a four-game road winning streak. The Brewers have been solid on the road with an 11-7 record but nine of those wins have come against three teams with records of 12-25, 11-27 and 14-25. The victory last night was just the second in their last nine games against teams with a winning record. While the Rockies pitching has struggled as a while, Chad Bettis has been the most consistent. He has a 2.05 ERA and 1.05 WHIP though seven starts with both those categories leading Rockies starters. His worst outing did come at home against the Padres where he allowed four runs but those came on just five hits. He has faced the Brewers three times at home and has posted three quality outings while going back, the Rockies are 13-3 in his last 16 starts after allowing five runs or more in their previous game. Brandon Woodruff will be making his second start of the season after getting called up form AAA. His first outing was not good as he allowed two runs on four hits and two walks in just 3.2 innings. Play (958) Colorado Rockies

          MLB | Mets vs Phillies
Play on: Phillies -142 at betonline

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Game #952 Friday Free Pick Philadelphia Phillies Money Line (-) vs New York Mets @ 7:05 ET - As long-time followers know, I rarely lay much juice in money line sports and that is particularly true when it comes to my premium or guaranteed picks. In this particular situation I am very comfortable being in the -140 range with the Phillies holding big edges over the Mets. New York is a banged up team and also missing a number of key pieces from their lineup. Certainly this has played a role in the Mets having lost 8 of their last 9 games. As for Philadelphia, they continued their hot streak yesterday with a 6-3 win bringing them to 6-2 in their last 8 games. While the Mets have been held to 2 runs or less in 7 of their last 9 games, the Phillies have averaged 8 runs per game during their current 4-game winning streak. Jake Arrieta had one bad inning to start his tenure for Philadelphia in his first start. Then he had one bad start in his final start of April. Other than that he has been fantastic for the Phillies and he certainly rates an edge over Steven Matz. The Mets southpaw has allowed 11 runs (7 earned) in only 13 and 1/3 innings spanning his last 3 starts. Phillies are worth the moderate price here as a home favorite. Free Pick PHILADELPHIA

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Los Angeles Angels -1.5 (+125)
The Los Angeles Angels have gone 7-2 in their last nine games overall. They are swinging a hot bat right now as they have scored 7 or more runs in six of their last eight contests. That should continue today against Lance Lynn, who is 1-3 with a 7.28 ERA and 1.96 WHIP in six starts for the Twins. Tyler Skaggs takes the ball for the Angels and he’s 3-2 with a 3.08 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in seven starts this year. The Angels are 16-2 against AL teams with an on base percentage of .330 or worse this season. They have outscored these teams 7.3 to 3.6 on average. Give me the Angels on the Run Line.

Play on: Rangers +230 at 5Dimes

Rangers/Astros 8:10: Worth taking a shot with quality lefty Hamels. Rangers are 18-8 in Game 1s with Hamels and they're 12-2 with him on Fridays. In addition, Texas has had success following an off day to the tune of 12-4. Astros have lost four straight to lefties and have lost 7 of their last 10 to the Rangers at Minute Maid Park. Sure, Verlander has been a virtual machine since putting on an Astros uniform; however, he did lose Sunday to Arizona despite pitching well. And yes, he dominated the Rangers twice this season but Rangers' bats a bit better now, especially with Beltre back in the mix (4 of 6 with 4 RBI last 2 games after extended layoff). We'll look for Texas to pull off the shocker.

                    MLB | Cardinals vs Padres
Play on: Cardinals -140 at betonline

10* FREE MLB PICK (Cardinals -140)
I'll take my chances here with St Louis cashing in another win on the road Friday against the Padres. The Cardinals took the series opener 2-1 and are now 17-2 over the last 2 seasons when facing a team that's won 38% or less of their games. St Louis is also now 23-7 in their last 30 road games against NL teams who are averaging 4 or fewer runs/game. The struggles for San Diego at the plate are a big reason why I like the Cardinals here. The Padres have scored a whopping 3 runs in their last 3 games combined. This is the perfect opponent for St Louis starter Luke Weaver to get back on track against. There's also a good chance the Cardinals offense shows up in this one, as they will be gong up against Eric Later, who has a 5.79 ERA and 1.929 WHIP in 3 starts. St Louis is 6-1 in Weaver's last 7 starts vs a team with a losing record and 15-3 in their last 18 when facing a team that scored 2 or fewer runs in their previous game. Give me the Cardinals -140!

No complaints with Jake Arrieta at 3-1 with a 3.15 ERA despite getting in late as free agent. These are two teams headed in opposite directions, the Phillies winners of four straight and the Mets 1-8 in May and headed Soyh with a bullet. The New Yorkers are plating less than three runs a game and hitting just .209 over their L7. Phils averaging 6 runs and hitting .270. Average support should get Arrieta and the Phils the win.

#MLB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN
The New York Mets have lost eight of their last nine games and I don't like their chances here, coming up against a Phillies team which is 15-5 at Citizens Bank Park on the season. Philly scored 32 runs in its four-game sweep of San Francisco to start the week and I predict its bats to have plenty of success tonight as well.
The Mets hand the ball to Steven Matz (1-3, 4.23 ERA) who held the Rockies to just one run on three hits and struck out five over six innings last Sunday, but note that he had posted a 6.39 ERA in his previous three starts. The Phillies have owned southpaw all season and are 14-2 in their last 16 home games vs. a left-handed starter.
Jake Arrieta (3-1, 3.15 ERA) will take the ball for the home team for his seventh start in a Phillies uniform. Arrieta is 2-2 with a 2.30 ERA in seven career starts against the Mets and held the Nats to one run on two hits through six innings his last time out.
Mets are 1-6 in Matz's last seven road starts and 2-9 in his last 11 starts vs. a team with a winning record.
                        Free pick on Philadelphia Phillies.
