Free pick on Rockets -
I'm recommending a play on the Rockets at basically a pick'em at home in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. While Golden State is favored to win the series, I think that's more based on what they have done the past few years. I really like Houston's chances of securing the first contest at home, where they were 39-8 this season. Let's also not forget the Rockets are now 50-5 in games when they have their big three of Harden, Paul and Capela.
All the attention is going to be on the offensive side of the ball, but this series will likely be won by which team plays the better defense. Both teams are really good defensively, but one matchup I think could play heavily in favor of the Rockets is Paul vs Curry. Paul is a much better defender than Curry and if he can get him off his game just slightly, it could make the difference.
We should also see a few more calls go Houston's way at home, as well as strong games from the role players at home. Golden State is also just 3-11 ATS in their last 14 road games against a team that's won more than 60% of their home games.Take the Rockets!

MLB | Rockies vs Padres
Play on: Padres -105 at MyBookie
Jack’s Free Pick Monday: San Diego Padres -106
The Colorado Rockies have lost four of their last five coming in and should continue to struggle here against the San Diego Padres. I’ll back the Padres, who are 5-4 in their last nine games, in Game 1 of this series at home tonight over the Rockies.
Rookie Joey Lucchesi has more than held his own for the Padres. He is 3-2 with a 2.98 ERA and 1.205 WHIP in eight starts this season, including 2-0 with a 2.39 ERA and 1.101 WHIP in five home starts.
Lucchesi is also 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 0.818 WHIP in two starts against the Rockies this season, tossing 11 shutout innings. He’ll be opposed by Tyler Anderson, who is 2-1 with a 4.23 ERA and 1.331 WHIP in eight starts for the Rockies, averaging just 4.8 innings per start.
The Rockies are 48-98 in their last 146 road games vs. a left-handed starter. Colorado is 4-11 in Anderson’s last 15 starts vs. NL West opponents. Bet the Padres Monday.

MLB | Indians vs Tigers
Play on: Indians -220 at betonline
Play - Cleveland Indians w/Carrasco (Game 909).
Edges - Indians: Carrasco: 12-1 last 13 team starts in this series, including 6-0 at Detroit … Tigers: 1-15 last 16 games in this series, including 0-11 the last eleven in this park … With Carrasco sporting a 3-0 record with a 3.27 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP away this season, we recommend a 1* play on Cleveland. Thank you and good luck as always.

MLB | Mariners vs Twins
Play on: Twins -105 at 5Dimes
Dave’s Monday Free Play:
1* on Minnesota Twins -105 The Key: I like the price we are getting with the Minnesota Twins at home here Monday night. They have gone 7-2 in their last 9 games overall despite playing all 9 games on the road. Now they are home and against a Mariners team that just lost No. 3 hitter Robinson Cano to a broken hand yesterday. And they give the ball to Jake Odorizzi, who has proven to be a nice acquisition this offseason. Odorizzi is 3-2 with a 3.83 ERA in 8 starts, including 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in 2 home starts. Wade LeBlanc has only made 2 starts this year and has never been any good dating back to his time with the Padres. He is 30-35 with a 4.35 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in his 10-year career, which has spanned 7 different teams. The Twins are 10-1 in their last 11 home games vs. a left-handed starter. Take Minnesota.
