I'm backing the Tigers on Sunday with Hardy over Shields. This is a play against James Shields and the Sox bullpen. Shields has been a mess on the road for years and this season has been no different. He came into 2018 with a 5.63 ERA & 1.50 WHIP in his previous 40 starts, going back to the 2015 campaign. He's also been a disaster at Comerica over the last three seasons. We expect more of the same here. We aren't going to pretend Blaine Hardy is an overpowering lefty, he is not. But he isn't dishing out free passes and that's a big plus against a weak hitting team like the White Sox. We don't believe they'll be able to ?keep up? against a Tigers' offense averaging over 5 rpg in home day action this season. Factor in the horrible Sox bullpen and we have a 4-unit play on the home team. I'm backing the Tigers on Sunday. Thanks & GL!
