7-Unit Play. #954. Take St. Louis -135 vs Pittsburgh (Thursday @ 7:15pm est)
The Cardinals and Pirates hook up in St. Louis for their second series in just under a week. The Cards took 2 of three in the first series thanks to some hot pitching. Tonight, they will once again have the better pitcher on the mound when the send out Jack Flaherty. Flaherty won his second straight start by holding the Pirates to one run and four hits over six innings last time out. Prior to that, he turned in a career-best, 13k's in 7 2/3 innings to beat Philly. We expect Flaherty to keep the momentum going and silence the Pirates' bats once again. Pittsburgh on the other hand sends Trevor Williams to the mound - who struggled last time out against STL, surrendering 4 runs on seven hits in just four innings. The Cardinals figure to have the advantage over Williams as Jose Martinez is 5 for 8 lifetime and Matt Carpenter has taken Williams deep twice in 10 ABs. The Cardinals are good bounce back candidates tonight as they are 5-2 in the game following a loss and are 35-17 against the Pirates at home. The Pirates are just 1-4 in their last 5 games and 5-11 in their last 16 road games. We expect the Cards to get back into the win column by taking down this very familiar opponent.
3-Unit Play. #501. Take Cleveland +13 vs Golden State (Thursday @ 9:05pm est)
At this particular point in time, how can you doubt or downplay what LeBron James is doing? He single-handedly took down the Celtics and will be more motivated than ever to get his fourth NBA ring. The Warriors are a great team and should pull through and win the series, but the lack of respect LeBron and the Cavs are getting in this series is insane. LeBron is a master at pushing the right buttons and getting his teammates to buy in at the right time. We fully expect the Cavs to be ready to play in this one and stay within the number. The Cavs will look to do what Houston couldn't and that's knock down a three-point shot. The Rockets missed 27-straight from behind the arc. If a few of those go down, we could be talking about a different Finals matchup. Cleveland is a bit better on defense than Houston, so if they can stay focused for 48 minutes and if GS goes cold for an extended period of time, 13 points will be a nice cushion to have, especially since Iguodala is out for Game 1. Iggy is the only player who has had success guarding LeBron. We don't expect Durant to guard him as he could find himself in early foul trouble and exert too much energy on the defensive side of the court. The Cavs know what the experts think and how every prediction has the Warriors sweeping them. It may be true, but the Cavs - specifically LeBron James, will not go down without a fight. The Cavs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against the WC. The Warriors are 4-10 in their last 14 on 2 days rest and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 versus the EC.
3-Unit Play. #611. Take Las Vegas +12 over Seattle (Thursday @ 10pm est)
Note to Clients: What an incredible start to the WNBA Season. We are 9-2 for +$2800 and on a 16-2 Run Dating back to last year, who can say that? No one. We absolutely love our clients and we are happy we won yesterday's selection by 36 points. But, today is a new day and each day is a new day and win or loss yesterday does not matter, one has to stay even keeled, only way to do this. We will do the same for MLB all year long including our 7-Unit Selection today, we will do the same for the World Cup PDF's below +$2500 last World Cup, the same for Belmont (Winning Preakness $372 on $180 ticket) and we will finish NHL and NBA strong (won last set of selections for both). And, of course, CFL we posted +$5100 in 2016 including 7 straight winning weeks and we will have a strong year this year. Per this play, did you know that Las Vegas will finally have their star two players inclduing their #1 draft pick back for the first time all year. With both Plum and McBride back, and with Cooper their top draft pick getting early seasoning, this team is starting to develop very quickly under legend Bill Lambeer. Lambeer was black balled in the NBA by Michael Jordan and so be it, he went on to the WNBA to have a legendary coaching career and is a 2 time coach of the year there and 3 time WNBA Champion. I love Michael Jordan. But, I am proud of Bill Lambeer for continuing to not quit and still get into coaching. His team got trounced against Connecticut in our opening 7u Winner but ever since then it has done well for them. They have developed more of a scoring attack, developed depth and they were down 19 at one point to Seattle just their last game and came all the way back. We don't expect them to get down so early right off the bat this game with 3 legit scoring options (they were playing overseas and just got back) and with a much better defensive effort today similar to Lambeer, look for Las Vegas to play well with revenge and have a strong start from the get-go here. Let's make it a 17-2 WNBA Run and 10-2 start to the season.
