7-Unit Play (WNBA). #603. Take Over 164 Connecticut vs Atlanta (Tuesday @ 8:00pm est)
The Connecticut Sun are the only undefeated team remaining in the WNBA with a record of 5-0. They also lead or are near the top of every offensive category: 1st in FG%, 3PT FG%, rebounds, and assists, 2nd in steals and offensive rebounds and 3rd in 3PT FG per game. They come into tonight's matchup against the Dream on the heels of a 86-64 win against Washington. This is the lowest total they've scored to date and we expect them to at least reach this mark again. The Sun have scored more than 86 points in each of their 5 games, including cracking the century mark in three games. They typically shoot the ball lights out and against a weaker defensive team like the Dream, we expect them to at least hit the 90 mark once again. The Dream come into this game on the heels of a poor shooting performance in a loss against Phoenix, so we expect them to play much better offensively and use their athleticism to run with the Sun. Both teams love to get into the paint in order to open up their three point shooters. We expect to see a lot of open threes from sickouts and lots of free-throws which will equate to a lot of free points with the clock stopped. This is one the highest totals Atlanta has been involved with, so we expect them to get up and be ready to play their hearts out against the best team in the WNBA. The over is 4-0-1 in Atlanta's last 5 games against a team with a winning record.
4-Unit Play. #917. Take Over 10.5 Runs Oakland vs. Texas Rangers (Tuesday @ 8:05pm est)
We roll with the Over here as note the A's have won 3 of 4 contests coming in and the Rangers have scored 3 runs or less in their last 4 games. You have an A's team that is playing good Baseball right now and a Rangers team that is anxious to bust out for some quality runs. And, given that Manaea has struggled of late giving a homerun in each of his last 6 starts, a Texas lineup that is hungry for success and facing a lot of criticism, in a hitter's ballpark in Texas and the fact that Manaea is coming back down to earth here giving up 14 runs in less than 14 innings, you have it set up for a potential high scoring game today. Plus, Moore has put together 5 straight non-quality starts and this is a hungry A's team that is 11th in runs in the league and has put together 5, 4, 16 and 7 runs in their last 4 games as their bats are starting to heat up a bit. Frankly, the Rangers have a great shot at winning this game but we are more interested in the total as we think it is likely high scoring today. The Over is 6-1 in Moore's last 7 starts and the Over is 4-1 in Moore's last 5 home starts.
