MY MAN JAX - Running 1 1/16 miles on the turf, you've have to look at horse's turf figures. This horse has the tops in the bunch. Stand by this pony. Coming off the pace, I think he'll be in a great spot to bury them in the stretch. Comparing how the horses in this field have fared under similar conditions, I see this one has the highest speed rating for the distance/surface. Ranked number 1 in EPS (earnings per start). Another confirmation that this animal is the class of the race. SKYCRAFT - Have to make this gelding a contender; he comes off a solid race on Jun 9th. Nice return on investment for this jock and handler twosome. Ran a winning race Jun 9th, but just couldn't topple the winner. Look at this pattern of improvement. 69/75/81 are the last three speed figs. The last speed fig of 81 is the highest last race speed rating in the field. DEMOPOLIS - I surely see good things for this noble animal right here.

ANOTHER STORY - Taking a class drop in Equibase class figure points from his August 26th race at Assiniboia Downs. Based on that valuable data, I will give this horse the edge. Desjarlais should have him moving big on the turn. Changes tracks from last out at Assiniboia Downs to here. Multiple wins on different tracks tell me this animal likes to switch it up, so that's a good sign. Slater must think that this gelding will adapt to the tight turns at Chippewa Downs, perhaps because he's had success on the grass. This gelding's last fig is lofty enough to win here, I'll wager on him back again this time around. STAND UP GUY - Ran last time out against much better horses at Assiniboia Downs. The move down the class ladder should suit him well. The improved Equibase speed figures over the last 3 races is solid. Herman drops him in this affair conditioned properly and ready to go.

CLASSY CAPI - Ortiz will almost certainly be able to get this filly to break out quickly in this race. Put up a reliable Equibase speed fig in the last race. Can run another good one in this race. O SHIVER ME TIMBERS - Could wake up with Lasix change (now going off Lasix) today. The average Equibase class rating of 53 makes this one tough to beat.

I lean toward FLY E DUBAI here. Had one of the most respectable Equibase Speed Figures of this field in his last competition. Is worth looking at and may be a wager - strong speed figures (82 average) at today's distance and surface lately. Has been consistently racing well recently. TWO NOTCH ROAD - Difficult to pass on this gelding with Cintron in the saddle. Seems to have a decent class edge based on the recent company kept. HOMESPUN HERO - Ought to be carefully examined based on the very good Equibase Speed Fig garnered in the last contest. Is difficult not to consider given the company run in recently.
