8-Unit Play. Take #318 Los Angeles -9 over Dallas (Tuesday, June 26th at 10:30 PM ET)
Take Los Angeles ATS as my 8-Unit WNBA Game of the Year for Tuesday night. This pick falls into one of my top WNBA systems and this is a big revenge game for the Sparks who lost by 29 points to the Wings at Dallas on the 22nd because of a let down that will not happen at home tonight. The Sparks were out-rebounded by 19 in that loss to the Wings and I would blame the scheduling for that loss as they had to play in Washington, then Chicago, then back home against the Fever, and then on the road against Dallas, which is a lot of miles to travel in a 1-week span. Now the Sparks are coming off a blowout home win against New York while the Wings are coming of a blowout loss against Seattle. The last time Dallas played in Los Angeles they were blown out by 21-points and I see a similar result tonight after the Wings embarrassed the Sparks just 4 days ago in Dallas. The Wings have played terrible on the road this season losing by 8 to a Lynx team who the Sparks beat by 8 at home, and barely getting by a bad Fever team who the Sparks beat by 19 at home. The Wings also lost to New York on the road who the Sparks just beat by 26 at home. The Sparks are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games after a win. The Sparks are also 21-7 ATS in their last 28 games and with revenge in mind they win in a rout tonight at home as they are the superior team. Play Los Angeles ATS as we move to 4-0 my last 4 WNBA plays.
7-Unit Play. Take #960. San Fransisco -138 vs Colorado (Tuesday@ 10:15p.m. est).
The San Fransisco Giants find themselves in a position they expected to be in when they made two offseason splashes by getting Even Longoria and Andrew McCutchen - competing for a playoff spot. The Giants have won 5 of their last 6 games and sit just 4.5 games out of first in the NL West and 3 games back of the second wild card spot. They have been playing some strong defense and are finally getting quality pitching and timely hitting. They send Derek Holland to the mound tonight and he has pitched much better over his last few starts. He's also faced good teams like the Dodgers, Nats, DBacks and Rockies and Cubs. He gave up 2 runs to the Dodgers last time out, 0 to the Nats, 2 to Arizona and 2 to the Cubs. We expect him to continue his recent run and help the Giants in closer to a playoff spot. His opponent will be the Rockies and they will send out Chad Bettis who has been very inconsistent. Somehow he owns a 5-1 record, but he's given up 37 hits, 28 runs and 8 walks in his last 26 innings of work. He only has 1 win and 4 no decisions to show for in those last 26 innings, but he's been terrible. The Rockies are 0-7 in their last 7 vs the NL West and are 1-6 vs a team with a winning record. The Giants are 13-3 in their last 16 vs a righty and are 5-0 in their last 5 vs a pitcher with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and are 4-1 in Holland's last 5 starts.
7-Unit Play. Take #371. Under 161.5 Dallas vs Los Angeles (Tuesday@ 10:30p.m. est) (MGM, William Hill and CG Tech all have 161.5 right now)
The Dallas Wings just took the LA Sparks to the woodshed 4 days ago - pounding them 101-72 on home court. Now, the Sparks will be desperately seeking revenge on that lopsided loss and we expect this one to be a nasty/chippy affair. The Sparks pride themselves on their defense, so giving up 101 to a mediocre Dallas team really ticked them off. That loss was the reason they crushed NY last time out, holding the Liberty to just 54 points. The Sparks will be ready to play in this game and will not give up another century marker to the Wings. The Sparks are also in a look ahead spot to a rematch with Seattle - so focus and execution could suffer and lead to a few scoring droughts. More so- Dallas gave up 97 last time out to Seattle, so we expect them to bounce back in a big way defensively. They've had a tough run of it lately, having to go against the top teams in the league in Minnesota, LA and Seattle in a five day span, but there is light at the end of the tunnel if they can grind out a low scoring effort in tonight's ball game. The under is 4-0 in LA's last 4 while playing on 1 day rest and the under is 23-3 in the Sparks last 26 home games - that's incredible.
3-unit Play. #225357. Competition: World Cup. Take Over 2.5 goals (-123) Argentina vs. Nigeria. (Tuesday @ 2:00 pm est) (For this to Win, 3 or more goals must be scored, Regulation + Injury time).
Argentina is one of the world power houses who have been a shock during the 2018 World Cup. Drawing their first match 1-1 against Iceland and losing 3-0 to Croatia in match two, Argentina are on the brink of being knocked out of the World Cup. This is a must Win for Argentina and should Iceland loss to Croatia, Argentina will only need a 1-0 win. However, Croatia who have already qualified for the knockout round, are highly likely to sit key players for their match against Iceland. For Nigeria, they only need a draw and Iceland to either win by only 1 goal or loss to secure a place in the knockout round. The Silver Eagles looked dangerous against Iceland after a change to their formation and lineup. A lot can happen on Tuesday afternoon and a lot has to happen in order for either of these teams to make the knockout stages. With Argentina hoping to not be embarrassed and Nigeria's stellar performance over the weekend we like for this score line to be high. Argentina needs to win by at least 3 goals should Iceland draw and will need more goals should Iceland pick up the win.
