8 Units - Boston RUNLINE (-1.5 @ -145 ) over Kansas City 7/8 *2:10 EST
Take it to -155 if need be with a pitching change which has been addressed
Really no explanation needed here, Kansas City is just in the tank and getting beaten at every turn. Boston has just kicked their butt in this series to the tune of 25-9 in the first 2 games. Jacob Junis has been scratched early this morning, since I posted this and re-did the writeup, HOWEVER with bad bullpen and a unexpected start from Heath Fillmyer I am still all over Boston as he has pitched a total of 9 innings out of the bullpen . Fillmyer is a right hander and Boston is batting .338 as a team their last 5 games against right handers. Rick Porcello on the mound for Boston and he has been stellar as of late and sporting a 2.89 ERA - so the better pitcher with the best offense in MLB behind him against the worst pitching staff in MLB in the Royals who have managed just 15 wins in their last 52 home games and managed just 13 wins in their last 53 games overall. If Boston does not take the day off here they should win by 5+ runs.
8 Units on Boston -1.5 runs / runline at -145
This number will climb on the line - do not be afraid of it. Boston will wax KC
4-Unit Play: Take 978 Mariners -140 over Rockies (4:10 p.m., Sunday, July 8)
I'm backing the Mariners with Leblanc over Senzatela. The Rockies aim for the sweep, but we don't believe they'll accomplish their goal. In fact, we're betting against it. Colorado is in their worst offensive situation today, facing left-hander Wade Leblanc. The Rockies average just 2.5 rpg in road day action against southpaws and few starting pitchers, whether RH or LH are better on their home mound than Leblanc. The Seattle hurler has a 2.45 home ERA, along with a 0.98 WHIP in 44 innings. Most importantly, the Mariners have won 13 straight home starts by Wade Leblanc, while Colorado has won just 5 of their last 21 IL road games against left-handed pitching. I'm backing Seattle on Sunday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
