MLB | Nationals vs Mets
Play on: Nationals -1½ -125 at pinnacle
Dave’s Thursday Free Play:
1* on Washington Nationals -1.5 (-125) The Key: Backing Max Scherzer on the Run Line is usually a good idea. He is 11-5 with a 2.33 ER and 0.89 WHIP in 19 starts this year with 177 strikeouts in 127 2/3 innings. He has been as steady as they come over the past 5 years or so. Scherzer is 6-3 with a 2.05 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 9 road starts this year. He’ll be opposed by Steven Matz, who is 1-4 with a 4.17 ERA in 9 home starts. Scherzer is 8-4 with a 2.27 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 14 lifetime starts vs. New York as well. Scherzer is 12-1 in road games vs. an NL team with a batting average of .255 or worse over the last 2 seasons. The Nationals are winning by 3.1 RPG in this situation. The Mets are 20-44 in their last 64 games overall. Take Washington on the Run Line.

MLB | Dodgers vs Padres
Play on: Dodgers -179 at pinnacle
On Thursday night, Play Against NL underdogs with a money line of +150 or more like SAN DIEGO, hitting .250 or less, against an NL starting pitcher whose ERA 3.00 or lower, who are batting .190 or worse over their last three games. In the past five years, teams like the Padres are 5-37 in this spot!

MLB | TOR vs BOS
Play on: OVER 9 -110
Toronto (Happ) @ Boston (Price) 7:10 PM ET Game# 961-962 Play On: Over 9.0
When bettors saw this opening total of 9.5, and the 2 scheduled quality left-handed starting pitchers, they salivated in anticipation of a low scoring game. That number has since came down to 9.0 resulting from 78% of individual bets being placed on under the total. It’s never as easy as it seemingly appears to be in sports betting. I firmly believe this qualifies as one of those precise situations.
J.A. Happ has earned a spot in the 2018 MLB All-Star game and his overall pitching line this season certainly warrants that selection. However, Happ has seen each of his last 4 starts go over the total while compiling a large 7.94 ERA during those outings, and he allowed an alarming 6 home runs in 22 2/3 innings pitched throughout that span. Meanwhile, David Price has been awful during his previous 2 starts and gathered a massive 13.50 ERA in doing so. Furthermore, during those previous 2 starts, Price surrendered 6 home runs in just 8.0 innings of work. Bet on this game to go over the total for my Thursday 7/12 MLB free pick of the day.

MLB | Yankees vs Indians
Play on: Yankees -111 at BetPhoenix
1 Unit FREE PLAY on New York Yankees -111
The New York Yankees have gone a ridiculous 17-2 in Luis Severino’s 19 starts this season. And it’s rare that you get to back him at this kind of price. Severino is 14-2 with a 2.12 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 143 strikeouts in 123 1/3 innings. He has gone 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in five previous starts against the Indians as well. Corey Kluber is faltering of late at 1-1 with a 5.52 ERA in his last three starts. He is also 0-1 with a 12.80 ERA in his last two starts against the Yankees, yielding 9 earned runs and four home runs in 6 1/3 innings. Give me the Yankees.

MLB | Yankees vs Indians
Play on: Indians +105 at MyBookie
10* FREE MLB PICK (Indians +105)
I'll take my chances here with Cleveland as a home dog in the highly anticipated showdown that features the Indians Corey Kluber against the Yankees Luis Severino. This is simply too good a price to pass up on the Indians on their home field with Kluber on the mound. Kluber is 7-1 with a 1.43 ERA and 0.797 WHIP in 10 home starts this season and you know we are getting his very best against these Yankees. This is also game 8 of the Yankees massive 11-game road trip going into the break, while Cleveland is finishing up a 10-game homestand. Revenge is also a key factor here, as the the Yankees swept the first series between the two teams in New York and were the ones that eliminated the Indians from the postseason last year. Give me Cleveland +105!

MLB | Blue Jays vs Red Sox
Play on: Blue Jays +160 at YouWager
1* Free Sharp Play on Blue Jays +160
My money is on Toronto to cash in as a big road dog against the Red Sox on Thursday. Boston is headed into the final series before the All-Star break riding a 9-game winning streak and own the best record in baseball at 65-29. They also have a 3.5-game lead over the Yankees in the AL East. I think it's going to be tough for the Red Sox to stay focused against the Blue Jays, while Toronto is going to give it everything they got in this series. I also think this is a good spot to go against Boston's David Price, who has been a complete train wreck in his last 2 starts. Price has allowed 12 runs on 15 hits in his last 2 starts and the alarming stat is the 6 home runs he's allowed. Note that Price had allowed a total of 10 homers in his previous 16 starts combined. I also like that Toronto has J.A. Happ on the mound, as he's got a strong 2.83 ERA in 7 road starts this season and a 3.11 ERA in 17 career starts against the Red Sox. Bet Toronto +160!

MLB | SEA vs LAA
Play on: UNDER 7½ -104
DMack's Free Play for Thursday, July 12, 2018 is on the Mariners/Angels Under
James Paxton is a top of the rotation guy that much like that could have no-hitter kind of stuff on any given night. He's 8-3 with a 3.41 ERA on the year but his ERA in his L3 is 2.45. Tyler Skaggs has been even better for the Halos with a 1.69 ERA over his L5 starts, 0.95 over his L3 starts. Both starters are razor sharp and if that current form holds here with minimal involvement from the pens, runs will be tough to come by here. Play the Under.

MLB | LAD vs SDG
Play on: UNDER 7½ -103
#MLB FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN
The LA Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 4-2 on Wednesday, their seventh win in 10 games. All but one of their last six have gone under the total, and I think we'll see a low-scoring affair here in the finale of this four-game set.
LAD righty Ross Stripling (7-2, 2.22 ERA) fanned seven while holding the Halos to one run on three hits through six innings of work his last time out. He owns a 103/13 K/BB ratio through 89 1/3 frames on the season and struck out 10 Padres in 6 2/3 innings while conceding just an unearned run on May 25.
The Friars counter with right-hander Tyson Ross (6-7, 4.41 ERA) who has been tagged with 15 runs on 14 hits and five walks with just two strikeouts in seven innings through his last two starts. It's worth noting though that the 31 year old owns a 3.49 ERA in 11 career games (nine starts) against the Dodgers and he owned a 3.32 ERA in 16 starts on the season before his recent struggles.
Under is 20-7-2 in Stripling's last 29 starts overall and 35-15-2 in Ross' last 52 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings. Free pick on UNDER.
This game features the 51-42 Arizona and the 47-45 Rockies. Arizona looks to take the series and get revenge from a utter beatdown yesterday as they lost 19-2. Robbie Ray is in desperate need of a good start as he has not looked great since coming back from injury. Let's not forget Arizona is 9-2 SU in its last 11 games when playing Colorado love Arizona early today for a 15* winner.
Fp: yanks are at the top of the league in runs scored coming off last nights game where they put up 9 runs alone I think the bats stay hot I. New York and with a little help form the Indians 8 runs to win will be a brezze making the over my mlb feee pick !
