I'm playing FRANCE on the 2-way line (10* MAIN EVENT, no draw option). France has been the strongest team in this tournament, knocking off plenty of elite teams along the way. While this is a young team, the French have been here three times in the past 20 years. A good portion of the core of the team lost in the Euro Finals (in Paris) two years ago and have learned from that. Sometimes, a team needs to lose before it can win and I believe thats the case with this French team. They've got an oustanding goalie and are extremely stingy on defense. On offense, they've got explosive playermakers with speed and the ability to put the ball in the net. Expect them to emerge as champs.

This probably was not the World Cup final match-up anyone predicted a month ago, but Croatia have had a dream run after playing three straight extra time matches, winning two in penalty shootouts and the last a thrilling 2-1 win with about 10 minutes left in the second period of extra time. Croatia have now won seven-matches in a row including their last pre-World Cup friendly. Croatia's key wins have been a 2-0 World Cup opener, a 3-0 win over Argentina, a 2-2 penalty shootout win over Russia, and the 2-1 win over England. Croatia have only conceded 2 goals once in their six World Cup matches, against Russia and no match during regulation. This team could be trick for France as the two extra time matches did not seem to faze this side against England, now they face a very good French side having played three straight extra time matches. For France, they are unbeaten in their last 10-matches, but unlike Croatia did not win all six of their World Cup matches having drawn Denmark. France did score 2 or more goals in three of their six matches also keeping four clean sheets. This is a French side who were also in the European Cup final which they lost 1-0 in extra time to Portugal two years ago and will be out to pick up their second World Cup. This will be the sixth match between these two nations with two of those matches in Cup competitions. In 1998 France beat Croatia 2-1 in the semifinals on their way to lifting the World Cup with a 3-0 win over Brazil.

it means he’s taking France to win the WC at -210ish. Most, if not all books have a “to lift the WC bet”. So the bet is a win if France wins all the way to PKs, or a loss of Croatia wins in reg, aet, or PKs.
