4 Units - #907 Washington / #908 Miami (OVER 8) 7/28 *7:10 EST
I like this set up. So far the Marlins have allowed 40 runs in their last 5 games. The Nats have scored 31 runs in their last 5 games. The Marlins might just get to Gio Gonzalez today too, he has not made it past the 6th inning in his last 8 starts with an ERA of 7.25 in his last 8 and walked 5 batters in his last outing of 5.2 innings. Bear in mind neither bullpen impressive either as of late, the Nats 4.15 ERA is the best of the two and the Marlins bullpen 12.96 ERA - both in their last 5 games. We do have a hot Trevor Richards on the hill for Miami, but last time he faced Washington he walked 7 hitters and I like this final score in double digits, 9-1 last night. Gonzalez is all over the place with his pitches, he has lost command.
3 Units - #913 Milwaukee (-105) over San Fran 7/28 *9:05 EST
San Fran has dropped 5 out of their last 6 and got beat up last night. The Brew Crew are the better team right now and Chacin gets the rubber tonight and the Brewers are 13-5 behind him in his last 18 starts. Cueto takes the mound tonight for the Giants and has looked bad since his return from his elbow injury, in his last 17 innings, he has given up 7 homers and 12 earned runs. San Fran has also averaged less than 4 runs a game the entire month of July. Brewers have the vastly better bullpen as well, and backing Chacin in this spot is a take.
