For Monday, Top-Rated 1000♦ is the N.Y. Yankees with Tanaka -1 1/2 runs over the White Sox with Rodon. At 8:45 am eastern time, the Yankees are -1 1/2 runs, -120 in Vegas and offshore.
The Yankees have a little bit of a run brewing, as they head back home after last night's win in Baltimore having won 8 of their last 9, including their just completed 4 game sweep of the Orioles.
New York did take all 3 earlier this month off of Chicago, and all 3 wins did come by 2 runs or better.
Neither Carlos Rodon nor Masahiro Tanaka started in that series on the South Side, and while Rodon has been on a roll lately, I think he gets his comeuppance tonight in the Bronx. It should be noted that the White Sox are just 3-8 in Rodon's last 11 road starts.
That Yankees were 10 1/2 games behind the Red Sox for the division lead a short time ago, and a win tonight puts them just 5 1/2 behind the idle Sox here on Monday.
Expect it to happen, as Tanaka is 4-0 for his career against the White Sox with an ERA of 2.23. Look for Tanaka to put up zeroes tonight and for the Yanks to break through with one big inning against Rodon.
New York stays sizzling, as they take this one by 2 runs or more.
MONDAY NOTE
Terrible fu$king call yesterday on the Buffalo Bills, absolutely terrible.
7-Unit Play. Take #903. Over 10 New York Mets vs Chicago Cubs (Monday @ 8:05p.m. est).
Great 7* Selection yesterday as it hit in the 3rd inning, let's hope for another reasy winner today. Note, we are absolutely locked in right now, great 4-1 Football Week and 3-2 last week in Football as part of the standard every week IC-5 Football Card. Make no mistake about it, this is going to be our best ever Football Season (save $200 for signing up for early bird package now before it goes up). Great 9-1 WNBA Playoff Run as well. After scoring exactly 1 run in five straight games, the Cubs have finally found their offense. They've scored 8, 7, 3, 10 and 9 runs in their last five games, all wins and we expect them to continue that trend in this spot against the Mets. Despite the slump the Cubs went through, they still rank 5th in runs per game, 2nd in his per game, 2nd in average, and 1st in OBP. Their opponent, the Mets, will be eager to save some face after yesterday's 15-0 blowout loss to the Nats yesterday. The Cubs will send out Lester to the mound and he has been losing velocity on his pitches, not to mention has been brutal at home over his last two starts, giving up 18 hits and 13 runs in just 8.2 innings. The Mets can show some power when they need to and we expect hit to come to the forefront tonight. On the other hand, the Cubs offense will continue to swing a hot bat against Noah Syndergaard, who has given up 3 runs or more in four of his last 5 starts. The over is 4-1 in the Mets last 5 when their opponents score 5 or more runs in their previous game, while the over is 8-1 in Lester's 9 home starts vs a team with a losing record.
