4-Unit Play: Take 907 Cubs -105 over Brewers (8:10 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4)


I'm backing the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday with Montgomery over Miley. A pair of southpaws on the mound at Miller tonight and we like the way Chicago has fared in 2018 in this situation. The Cubs are 19-10 on the season against lefties and average 5.6 rpg. They haven't faced Miley yet this season, but tagged him for a 6.17 ERA in a couple meetings over the previous three years. Montgomery struck out six Braves' hitters in 4 ? in his return from injury last time out. Unfortunately, they did get to the lefty for 4 earned runs, but we expect better results in his second start since coming back. Montgomery has been outstanding on the road this season, splitting his time between the bullpen and rotation and he owns a sub-3.00 ERA in two appearances against Milwaukee in 2018. The Cubs' hurler also posted a 2.70 ERA and .135 BAA in his five most recent appearances at Miller Park before this season. We'll back the Cubs on Tuesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
