2-Unit Play. Take #14 Toronto (-155) over St. Louis (7:05 p.m. Saturday Oct. 20.)
Surprisingly, the Toronto Maple Leafs were blanked Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins and will look to bounce back against a struggling Blues squad tonight at home. Prior to their beatdown the club was on fire winning 5 straight games while averaging 5,4 goals per game. The Maple Leafs seem to be improving on defense as well. Over their last 4 games the club has only given up 9 total goals. St. Louis is a mess right now and are struggling on both ends of the ice. The club is ranked 22nd in scoring (2.8 goals per game) and 28th on defense where they are giving up 3.8 per game. The Maple Leafs are 21-5 in their last 26 games playing on 1 day of rest and will be ready to play tonight. I anticipate this club hungry for some more goals after the 0-3 loss. Take the Maple Leafs at home tonight.
