This Thunder team struggles without Russell Westbrook in the lineup. I know the Thunder got themselves a win last night without him, but they played the Cavs. The Rockets have been better on the road so far this season for some reason and I expect them to take advantage of a team that is going to miss the ball movement and scoring ability of Westbrook. The drama should be few and far between now that UConn no longer has Kevin Ollie as its head coach. It was clear he wore out his welcome in Storrs. Dan Hurley, formally of Rhode Island, inherits some talent for the Huskies. Jalen Adams is one of the best scoring guards in the entire country. He and Christian Vital will form a very dangerous 1-2 backcourt punch. Connecticut also gets grad transfer Tarin Smith, who averaged 12 points last year in the A-10 for Duquesne. They'll be strong out of the gate in their opener. Morehead State was 8-21 last year and they lose two of their four double digit scorers from a season ago. Big victory for UConn over the OVC here.
