2-Unit Play. Take #723 Miami, OH (+11) over Xavier (6:30 p.m.)

This is basically the same Miami, OH team that only lost by nine points against a much, much better Xavier team last year. Miami, OH has covered six of the last seven meetings and the road team is 10-4 ATS in this series. I think this game means a lot more to the Warhawks than it does to the Musketeers, who are in a bit of a letdown spot after their disappointing trip out to Maui. I haven't seen the same burst from this group of X-Men so I can see them winning this one but doing so by single digits.

1-Unit Play. Take #725 Kent State (-5) over Detroit (7 p.m.)
Mike Davis has done a great job with this Detroit team. But they aren't going to keep shooting over 52 percent on their home court. And I don't see this team throwing too many four-game winning streaks together. Kent State is a different team now that they have Jaylin Walker back and I think they will find a way to gut this one out.

3-Unit Play. Take #732 Marshall (-7.5) over William & Mary (7 p.m.)
Marshall is coming off a horrendous effort in a 40-point loss to Maryland. They will want to rebound here. The Tribe don't play any defense at all. And I don't think that they will be able to score enough to keep up with a Marshall team that goes bonkers on teams in their home gym. This WM team has already been blown out at Duquesne and Radford and they are in a letdown spot after their upset win over St. Joseph's. I think the Herd roll.

1-Unit Play. Take #737 Syracuse (+5) over Ohio State (7 p.m.)

I think that this Ohio State team is overrated. And I think that Syracuse is motivated for a better showing after it got embarrassed in Madison Square Garden in its big nonconference games against Connecticut and Oregon. The zone always keeps things close and I think the Orange have a shot to win this one outright.
7-Unit Play. Take #744 St. Joseph's (-8.5) over Illinois-Chicago (7 p.m.)
These two teams are both 3-3. But it couldn't be a more different 3-3. St. Joseph's hasn't played a single cupcake this year and they took part in a tournament that featured Wake Forest, Central Florida and West Virginia. They have played a true road game at William & Mary and they come into this game on a three-game losing streak. They are not going to be happy at all and I think that they are going to take it out on this Flames team. This is a really improved Hawks team and they have four guys scoring 11 or more per game, including a 25-point scorer that UI-C won't be able to match. The Flames have been terrible on the road and over the last 11 days they only game they have played was against a D-II school. St. Joseph's is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 at home and I think that they are going to bomb the visitors tonight.

2-Unit Play. Take #753 South Alabama (+7.5) over Southern Miss (8 p.m.)
You wouldn't know it, but this is actually a rivalry game that has been played every year for over a decade. South Alabama is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the road team has had a load of success between these two. South Alabama has actually won this matchup each of the last two years and I think that they can make enough shots to keep this one tight.

1-Unit Play. Take #757 Northern Illinois (Pk) over UW-Green Bay (8 p.m.)
Northern Illinois is a completely different team now that they have Eugene German back. He is by far their highest usage player and he and Levi Bradley can each go for 30 on any given night. Green Bay is a vastly improved team this season. But I don't think they have the firepower for this one. This will be a four-point game one way or another. I think that NIU has enough to get the win.

3-Unit Play. Take #760 Florida State (-3.5) over Purdue (9 p.m.)
I'm not nearly as high on Purdue as a lot of other people are. I like Carsen Edwards. But he is a one-man gang. And if FSU can slow him down - and they are a tough defensive team with a lot of different long, athletic perimeter defenders - then I don't know where the Boilermakers will turn. Purdue hasn't beaten anyone this year. And they lost their only big game, which came against Virginia Tech. Florida State is coming off a tough loss to a good Villanova team on Sunday. But that tournament was played in their home state so I don't think that travel or tired legs will be an issue. I think that the Seminoles roll in this one.

2-Unit Play. Take #761 North Carolina (+3.5) over Michigan (9:30 p.m.)
Michigan sure is getting a lot of mileage out of one blowout win over a young Villanova team. Michigan had all kinds of motivation in that game too and they shot the lights out. UNC has more experience and they won't be scared by the venue in this one.

1-Unit Play. Take #763 Georgia Tech (+8) over Northwestern (9 p.m.)

2-Unit Play. Take #773 UC-Irvine (+6) over St. Mary's (10 p.m.)

I don't like betting against St. Mary's. I never seem to have any luck playing on or against this team. But I am going to keep chopping wood here because I know for a fact that this is the weakest Gaels team in the last five years. UC-I has size, experience and athleticism and I think that they can turn this one into a one-possession game in the final three minutes.

2-Unit Play. Take #775 Pacific (+9.5) over Fresno State (10 p.m.)
I think that Fresno State could have a little trouble getting up for this game after their big weekend in the holiday tournament. They didn't travel far for their tournament, but they did play some major conference teams like Northwestern and Miami. Now they have to step down in class against a plucky Pacific team. I don't see Fresno State with the motivation for a blowout here.

2-Unit Play. Take #781 Long Beach State (+16.5) over USC (11 p.m.)
USC has been plenty shaky this year, taking two rough losses against Vanderbilt and Texas Tech. They beat UC-Bakersfield by just 15 and I think LBSU can find a way to hang around in this one. They have played a pretty brutal schedule so far this season and they managed to hang around at UCLA and against Oregon State. USC has a huge game against Nevada coming up this weekend and they could be looking past the 49ers in this spot.

2-Unit Play. Take #784 Hofstra (-9.5) over Siena (7 p.m.)
Hofstra is a really good offensive team that hasn't stretched its legs yet. They have played somewhat of a tricky schedule, with really tough road games at Marshall, at Maryland and at VCU. They bombed the only two overmatched opponents on their schedule, winning by 18 and 20, and I think that they can do the same here to a bad Siena team. Siena is in a complete and total rebuilding mode and they are coming off back-to-back home losses to Lehigh and Colgate. Not exactly confidence inspiring and I think that Hofstra can carry this number.

2-Unit Play. Take #787 Rider (+12.5) over West Virginia (6:30 p.m.)
This WVU team simply isn't as good as ones from the past few years. And I don't know how much energy or effort they are going to give against a really good, really experienced team from the Metro.

2-Unit Play. Take #791 Eastern Kentucky (+28) over Tennessee (6:30 p.m.)
This Eastern Kentucky team is really bad. But I am playing the number and the situation here. Tennessee is coming off two big neutral court games, a win over Louisville and then a loss against Kansas in overtime. The Vols don't play a ton of guys. So I wonder how much effort their primaries are going to put into this game in a clear letdown spot. I think a 22-point blowout win will do the trick for the Vols.

1-Unit Play. Take #799 Montana (+8.5) over Creighton (8:30 p.m.)
This is a letdown spot for Creighton against a deep Montana team. This game means a lot more for the visitors and Creighton is a team that isn't as naturally talented as teams in years past. I think that the road team will be able to slow this game down, keep it close, and make this number stick.

2-Unit Play. Take #804 Arizona State (-18) over Omaha (9 p.m.)
I like this Arizona State team. They impressed me with their play in Las Vegas last week and they've had a week to rest up after winning that mini-tournament. Omaha has already been thrashed by 20+ at Minnesota and at Iowa State. (They also lost by 10 at home to Northern Arizona.) I think that they can get bombed here as well against a simply more talented squad.

1-Unit Play. TEASER: Take #737 Syracuse (+10) over Ohio State (7 p.m.) AND Take #773 UC-Irvine (+11) over St. Mary's (10 p.m.)
