My free play for tonight is on the ice, where I'm siding with the Toronto Maple Leafs over the San Jose Sharks. And with the price so big, I'm laying the puck line. No worries, the Leafs should win big against the struggling Sharks.

Let's start with San Jose, which is 1-1-2 in its last four and arrives in Toronto after last night's grueling 3-2 overtime loss in Buffalo. Prior to that, the Sharks lost 6-0 in Vegas.

Tonight marks the third game during a five-game road trip spannning nine days. And with the Sharks (4-5-3 on the road) struggling offensively of late, I think this is a terrible spot against Toronto.

The Maple Leafs are 8-5-0 at home and come into this one on a 7-3-0 run. Toronto has one of the more dangerous offensive lineups in hockey, and if it can take advantage of a tired San Jose team early, it'll be lights out for the Sharks. Toronto is 11-0-0 when scoring first, while the Sharks are 1-6-1 when their opponent scores first.

Toronto, 9-4-0 in November, is dominant with its special teams, too. The Leafs have the seventh-best power play overall and the ninth-best penalty kill on home ice.

Take the home team here, as Toronto will win this one big.

Let's play the Calgary Flames on the puck line for my free play tonight, as the Dallas Stars don't have the firepower to keep up with the Pacific Division leaders.

The Flames have been jockeying for position with the San Jose Sharks, who lost in Buffalo last night, and now the Vegas Golden Knights are creeping up, after last night's 8-3 win in Chicago.

Calgary and San Jose is tied with 29 points, but the Flames have the current edge with 14 wins. San Jose has 12 wins, and Vegas (13 wins) and Anaheim (11) are just behind with 27 points.

So, to say the Flames need to win is an understatement. Yes, it is still early, but the way Vegas has been playing of late, Calgary doesn't want to stumble at home, where it is 7-3-1 this season.

The Flames, who are 10-6-0-0 against Western Conference foes this season, have outscored their last five opponents 23-10. They've also put at least four in the net in four of their last five games.

Dallas, meanwhile, is in the midst of a four-game road trip over eight days, this being the third roadie in five days. The Stars are mired in a 1-3-1 slide, during which they've been outscored 14-10 overall, and 11-4 in the losses. Dallas has been heled to two or fewer goals in six of its last eight games.

Take the Flames tonight, as they roll to the easy win.
