6 Unit Play. Take #562 San Antonio -2.5 over LA Clippers (8:35p.m., Thursday December 13) Tonight the San Antonio Spurs welcome the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers to AT&T Center. The Clippers continue to play ball without Lou Williams and he will be missed because of his leadership and scoring and tonight the Spurs will take advantage of his absent. The Clippers have dropped 3 out 4 and their offense has been performing poorly since Williams has been out of the lineup. The Spurs have won 3-Straight and 4-Straight home games and those 4 home wins they beat their opponent by double-digits. The Spurs have been playing outstanding team defense as of late and tonight I see them shutting down the Clippers offense. San Antonio is 19-7 ATS in their last 26 home games and the Clippers are 1-5 ATS following a SU loss of 10 points or more.
3-Unit Play. #301. Take LA Chargers +3.5 over the Kansas City Chiefs (Thursday @ 8:20pm est)
Do you know who is just 1 game behind the Kansas City Chiefs? That's right, the LA Chargers. Ever so quietly this team has 10 wins and because of the big seasons the Rams, Saints and Chiefs are having this team has gone unnoticed but we have noticed them. We love the fact that they come off a win against the Steelers in the last game - but the fact that they started off that game so slow I think will motivat them to start fast this game. Remember, this is a Chargers team that is not intimidated by anyone, this is a decent public fade, they lost to this same Chiefs team earlier this year and are chomping at the bit to get a bit of revenge as well and frankly, I think the Chargers genuinely think they are better. That Chargers defense is stout, 7th in points allowed, 8th in overall pass defense and had a crappy game against the Bengals last week only winning by 5 as a heavy favorite as they were looking forward to this game. And, as these Chiefs come off an exciting and emotional win over the Ravens, I think this is a bad spot here for KC and I think the Chargers either win outright or fall within the number. But, we will gladly take the 3.5 points here.
