PLAY: (551) DALLAS +5 RATING: 4% PLAY Great spot to take Dallas tonight as we catch Denver off back to back big wins. Denver has won 3 in a row since returning home from a long road trip. In the last 2 games they beat Oklahoma City and Toronto two of the better teams in the NBA so a let down would be no surprise tonight. This Dallas team has been one of the seasons biggest surprises as they have played much better than anyone expected. Dallas is 12-5 their last 17 games and are a live dog tonight in Denver. Since the start of last season Dallas is 30-17 ATS as a Underdog of 3.5 to 9.5 points. Over that same time period they are 32-17 ATS if they failed to cover in their last game. Lastly Dallas is 12-3 ATS on Tuesdays since the start of last year. Now some people put no stock in days of the week but I do. Good teams laying points I have always felt aren’t as excited about playing a game on a Monday or Tuesday in Basketball as they are on a Friday or Saturday as the crowd is just not the same yet the point spreads are the same no matter what day of the week it is. If the intensity isn’t the same on a weekday than it is on a Weekend why lay the same number. That’s why I like to look at the dogs first when handicapping weekday games involving good teams. In fact in the NBA over the last 5 years Home Favorites that are good teams (outscore their opponents by an average of 6 points or more per game) are just 26-60 ATS. That’s a league wide stat taking road dogs only on Tuesday nights against good teams. I’m on Dallas here as I have them winning 105-104.
