7 Unit Play. Take #709 Virginia -8.5 over South Carolina (7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 19, SEC Network)
The Virginia Cavaliers will look for tenth win in a row to open their 2018/2019 season when they hit the road to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC on Wednesday night. Virginia has posted a 9-2 ATS in their last eleven road games where they faced a team with a winning record at home and they have gone an excellent 13-3 ATS in their last sixteen road games overall. They have also covered the number in five of their last seven games following a straight up win and they are an impressive 10-1 ATS in their last eleven games off a game where they failed to cover the spread. South Carolina, on the other hand, has struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games where they faced a team with a winning % of .600 or higher and they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games versus a team with a winning record overall. They have also failed to cover the number in each of their last six home games and they are an awful 2-8-1 ATS in their last eleven games overall. Throw in the fact that the Gamecocks have failed to cover the number in thirteen of their last sixteen non-conference games while the Cavaliers are a lights out 13-5 ATS in that same spot and we're going to lay the points here with UVA in a game that we have them winning in blowout fashion in South Carolina on Wednesday night.
6 Unit Play. Take #571 Golden St -2 over Utah (9:05p.m., Wednesday December 19)
Lets face it! So far this NBA season the Utah Jazz has to be one of the most disappointing teams in the league and tonight at home I see the Jazz dropping this game. The defending champ comes to Salt Lake City to face the Jazz and the champs have won back-to-back games and 6 out 7. Utah comes back home after losing two straight road games and the Jazz come into this game losing 4 out 5. The Jazz have had success at Vivint Smart Home Arena against the Golden St Warriors but tonight I see the champs being to much for the Jazz and look for Curry and Durrant to have monster games. The favorite in this series is 5-2 ATS and the Jazz are 1-4 ATS last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record.
