I just think the total here is way too high for this matchup. West Virginia won't have star quarterback Will Grier, who is sitting out the game to prepare for the NFL draft. I get that Syracuse's defense allowed 32.3 ppg, but chances are the Mountaineers will look nothing like the team that put up 40.7 ppg during the regular season.
Grier isn't just a guy you can replace. He completed 67% of his attempts for almost 4,000 yards with a 37-8 TD-INT ratio. I think not only will they struggle to be as potent, turnovers and inefficiency in the redzone also figure to show up.
I think there's going to be a much bigger focus on running the ball and trying to let their defense do the heavy lifting. It won't be easy for West Virginia to slow down this high-power Syracuse offense, but I think they will get enough stops to keep this below the huge total that's been set. Keep in mind you these two have to average 17 points/quarter to eclipse this mark.
UNDER is 14-4 in Syracuse's last 18 road games when they come in having won at least 5 of 7 and a perfect 7-0 in road games after a game where 60 or more points were scored. UNDER is also 9-1 in West Virginia's 10 after scoring 31 or more in 5 straight games. Take the UNDER!
