7 Unit Play. Take #649 St Johns +3 over Seton Hall (8:30p.m., Saturday, December 29 FSN) Top College Basketball Play of the Day We are not going into this game blindly. St Johns is undefeated, but they are not ranked and have not played a very good nonconference schedule. That being said they are much more talented then the Pirates who lost 4 straights off of last years team that reached the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament. The Red Storm have the best player on the floor and I expect them to win this game straight-up in a game that goes down to the wire. The Pirates claim to fame is beating Kentucky but the Wildcats have had an up and down season thus far. The Underdog has covered the spread in 4 of the last 5 meetings. St Johns is an NCAA Tournament team and they will start off Big East play with a road win to keep their undefeated streak in-tact.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYS

5 Unit Play. Take #606 Over 127 Butler at Florida (4:00p.m., Saturday December 29)
A nice matchup early this evening at Gainesville, Florida as the Butler Bulldogs go toe-to-toe with the Florida Gators and I can't believe this total is this low. Yes, I know some trends point to the 'Under' tonight but the Gators play their best ball at home and their last two home games they have scored 77 points and 71 points. The Gators have won 4 out 5 and in those 5 games the Gators offense averaged 74.2ppg. These two teams played each other in late November on a neutral site and Butler won 61-54 (game flew under) but the Gators shot 8-27 from 3-point land and 34% from the field. Both of those shooting numbers will be higher since the Gators get this game at home and I see tonight's game going 'Over' the total. Florida is 6-2 O/U at home against a team with a losing road record.

3 Unit Play. Take #679 Belmont +12 over Purdue (4:30p.m., Saturday December 29)
Maybe the Purdue Boilermakers basketball team will start slow like their football team did yesterday. The Belmont Bruins are 9-1 this year and this year beat teams like UCLA 74-72 and the Bruins will give the Boilermakers problems today. Purdue has dropped 4 out 6 and if they start slow the Bruins will make them pay and Belmont could shock another big college basketball program. Purdue is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games and 5-13 ATS last 18 home games

Take Louisville ATS as my 5-Unit CBB Smash for Saturday. This pick falls into one of my top college basketball systems and I have Louisville winning this game outright by 8 to 12 points. Kentucky has had a cupcake schedule so far this season with the exception of their last game against North Carolina while Louisville has already been tested several times this season. The Cardinals have averaged 83.9 points per game at home this season while shooting 48.3% as a team, and the Cardinals have held opponents to just 65 points per game at home this season while shooting just 39.2% as a team. I really believe that this Cardinals team can dominate the boards against Kentucky and Kentucky has shot just 24.3% as a team from beyond the arc on the road this season. Opponents have shot 44.2% against Kentucky from beyond the arc on the road this season and Louisville has shot 36.6% from beyond the arc at home this season. The Cardinals are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games after failing to cover the spread in their previous game and the underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 games played between these 2 teams. Great spot to fade Wisconsin who is coming off back to back blowouts of 41 and 31 points. Off two wins like that the market has this number inflated. W. Kentucky is 6-6 but two of their loses came immediately following big upsets. This team upset WVU as a 7.5 point dog and upset Arkansas as a 11 point dog. They went to Belmont as a 8 point dog and only lost by 6. Over the last 2 seasons W. Kentucky is 11-3 ATS as an Underdog. I have this as a 1-3 point game either way so we are grabbing the Points and would not be surprised if W. Kentucky wins this Outright.
