Love the value here with the Golden Hurricane as a double-digit dog against the Cougars. Houston is one of four unbeaten teams in the country and after a 80-59 blowout win over NJIT at home in their last game, they have now won 26 straight on their home-court.
The Cougars are now No. 19 in the country and headed into conference play with the best non-conference mark in school history. Needless to say this team is way overvalued right now. Houston has only played three Power 5 opponents and two were on their home floor. They also didn't travel to any of those early holiday tournaments, which can take a toll on a team.
Tulsa has played the much tougher schedule and yet they are 10-3. The Golden Hurricane come in having won 5 straight and are going to lay it all on the line here. With the Top 25 ranking and perfect record, Houston has a big target on their back. I not only think this will be closer than expected, Tulsa could win this game outright. Take Tulsa!

Oklahoma is 11-0 versus unranked teams, but in their one game versus a Top 25 team, they were crushed by a score of 78-58 in a loss to Wisconsin. Kansas isn't just a Top 25 team, the Jayhawks are ranked in the Top 5. They are still unbeaten at home, and they beat Oklahoma by 30 points at home last year. The Sooners have failed to cover in nine of their last 11 versus the BIG12, and they are likely coming into this game a little overrated after covering in nine of their last 10 versus non-conference opposition. While the Sooners have been impresssive, they haven't proven a lot based on a lack of quality wins. Kansas has marquee victories over Villanova, Tennessee and Michigan State. This game shouldn't be close, and I'll roll with the home favorite.

A trip out of town, particularly one to Phoenix, figures to do the Oilers some good. Despite having arguably the best player on the planet, the Oilers have under-achieved. If the playoffs were to begin today, the Oilers wouldn't be attending. All hope is not lost though, as they're still not too far behind and some of the teams in front of them aren't that strong. That said, time is slipping away and road games against teams like Arizona need to be taken advantage of. The Coyotes have actually been far better on the road (10-10) than they have been here at home. In fact, their 7-12 (7-11-1) home record is the worst in the league. The Oilers have taken six of the last seven against the Coyotes, dating back to a 3-2 win here in December of 2016. They should continue their dominance in the series. Consider Edmonton.
