The NBA is a game about matchups. This is a good matchup for the Brooklyn Nets and it's on their home court. I should say: it's not exactly a great matchup for the Kings. Sacramento is one of my favorite teams this year as they use their athleticism to put teams in bad spots. They are a very entertaining team to watch and I look for them to continue to play well this season. Having said that, Brooklyn has the athletes to matchup with the Kings and they have some guys willing to do the dirty work as well. They have athletic guards and Sacramento has a tendency to struggle against good back courts -- see the Charlotte game a few nights ago. The Kings don't play great defense and the guards of the opposing team usually get a lot of wide open looks. Russell and Dinwiddie should have big games today.
It's MLK day and I look for the Brooklyn fans to really get into this basketball game. The Nets haven't always started fast but they usually find a way to win against teams they should beat. I won't be shocked at all to see them start a little faster today and win this game fairly easily from start to finish.

Analysis:
West Virginia is going to want a more uptempo game than Baylor tonight but we are not so sure they are going to get it. The Bears come into this game in the top 20% Lowest Paced teams in the country and on the road as they are this evening their scoring ability has not been as prolific as when they are on a familiar court. They certainly know this and do everything in their ability to half court this game to death and make it hard for W Va to shoot their 3's with much success. The Mountaineers have been offensively challenged this season and especially of late. Baylor missing Clark dearly with his season ending injury early in the season. West Va HC Huggins has been criticized all season for not passing the ball enough and not playing good enough Defense. He did that verses Kansas and the results were great. Expect the same this evening. 3* Play at 137 or better..
