5 Unit Play. Take #563 Under 230 Minnesota at LA Lakers (10:35p.m., Thursday January 24)
Tonight at the Staples Center the Minnesota Timberwolves visit LA to battle an injury filled Lakers squad. I know this total has moved upward this morning but I think this total is way too high. Are we going to see tons of points scored tonight? Yes! But 230 is completely too high. The last 4 meetings between these two teams 3 of them have gone 'Under' and the Timberwolves last road game they beat the Suns and held them to 91 points. The Lakers last 3 games all 3 of them have gone 'Over' but their last 9 games 6 of them have gone 'Under' and again I believe this total is a bit off. Minnesota is 3-8 O/U against Western Conference teams and the Lakers are 7-18-1 O/U in their last 26 home games.
4-Unit Play. Take #628 Syracuse -8 over Miami Florida (Thursday, January 24 at 8:00 PM ET)
Take Syracuse ATS as my 4-Unit CBB Smash for Thursday night. This pick falls into one of my top college basketball systems and I have Syracuse winning this game by 13+ points at home tonight. The Orange are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a conference opponent. The Orange are 4-1 ATS in the last five home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games when playing a team that has a winning record. The Hurricanes are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and just 8-21 ATS in the last 29 games after a loss. The Hurricanes are also dressed 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games against conference opponent and just 2-6 ATS in the last eight games when playing a team that has a win rate above .600. Play Syracuse ATS
4 Unit Play. Take #663 Under 153.5 St. Mary's Ca at BYU (11:00p.m., Thursday January 24 ESPN2)
The St. Mary's Gaels come to Provo, Utah riding a 4-game winning streak and the way the Gaels have been playing defense this game should be a low scoring affair. BYU is coming off a loss on the road to San Francisco 82-63 and that snapped a 3-game winning streak but if they can't break the defense of the Gaels we will see a tight game from the tip. The Gaels defense is allowing 60ppg in their last 4 games and the Gaels last 8 games 6 of them have gone 'Under'. BYU is trending on 'Under' games cashing 4 out 5 and tonight at Provo I see this game staying 'Under' the total.
