The Rockets get back Clint Capela after 15 games away, and that makes all the difference here. Houston was out-rebounded in 13 of those games. When the Rockets win the boards battle, they're 19-3, when they don't they're 14-21. The Lakers are statistically a solid rebounding team, but that's mostly due to extra shooting attempts by the opponent -- only the Kings allow more offensive boards. LeBron has indicated he'll get into "playoff mode" earlier than usual, but there are matchup issues all over the floor. The Rockets can sneak out of L.A. with a win.

Joel Embiid and his 27 points and 13.5 rebounds per game won't be on the court Thursday, and the Sixers are 1-3 on the season when that's the case. Embiid had 35 and 18 in a 10-point win over Miami earlier this season. But that he's not out there gives the Heat some level of confidence. The Heat have been far more successful on the road than at home, and that includes a 17-11 ATS record, third-best in the NBA. Miami can keep it close.

That's because the Bucks have an average scoring differential of 9.8 points, by far the best in the league. The Celtics' strong depth may be in trouble without Aron Baynes and possible Gordon Hayward. Meanwhile, Nikola Mirotic is expected to make his Bucks debut.
