Comp play for Wednesday will be the points and the Golden Eagles as they head into Philadelphia to face a reeling Villanova team that comes back home off yet another loss in Big East action.

On Sunday, 'Nova went ice cold from the floor in the second half of their game at the Cintas Center and got run out of the building by Xavier, as Jay Wright's team has now lost 3 in a row for the first time in many a moon.

Can the streak move to 4 in a row?

I don't see why not, as right now this Wildcats team is having to work too hard for their baskets, and the dry spells they are going through are going to be troublesome against a team like Marquette that comes into this game at # 9 in the land with a 23-4 mark. One of those 23 wins this season did come at home in their 66-65 win over Villanova, as the Wildcats have not just lost 3 in a row, but also are on a 1-4 overall slide their last 5 games.

The Golden Eagles enter this game with 6 straight road covers to their credit, as they are led by Markus Howard who averages over 25 points per game for a team that comes in averaging a full 4 points per game more (78.9) than Villanova (74.9) per game, and also averages just about 3 rebounds more per game than the Cats, and also shoots it a full 5% better from the free throw line than Villanova.

This slide that the Wildcats are on is big and it's real.

Mark me down for a play on Marquette plus the points.

For Wednesday, continue to ride the Over when the Chicago Blackhawks hit the ice...this time in Anaheim against the Ducks.

Last week my free plays on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday were all on the Chicago Blackhawks to play Over the total. Wednesday? Over against the Red Wings, 5-4 in overtime. Friday? Over the total again in their game against the Avalanche, and Sunday another Over in their game against the Stars.

If it ain't broke, no need to fix it, right?

Chicago has now amazingly played Overs in each of their last 12 games, and in 19 of their last 20 games overall.

The Ducks just wrapped up a string of 4 games in a row Under the total away from home, but I am convinced the goal tally rises with this game coming against the offensive Chicago Blackhawks coming to town for a visit.

The last series meeting between the teams back in December did land Over the total, and the Over when these teams play one another has connected in 3 of the last 5 puck drops.

As I said last Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, you stay on the Chicago "Over Wagon" until we actually see them play a game that lands in the Under column.

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers face each other for the second time in five nights Wednesday, and Anthony Davis is still not playing for the right team (tongue in cheek).

The Pelicans just defeated the Lakers 128-115 on Saturday in New Orleans - without Davis in the lineup - and now the teams are in Los Angeles for the rematch. I love the Lakers to exact revenge in this one.

Los Angeles just lost for the fourth time in five games and the seventh time in 10 games, so the hunger for a win is even greater.

While the favorite is on a 7-1 ATS run in this series, keep in mind this is going to be a high-scoring affair with both teams averaging more than 118 points in each of their last five games.

Back in Los Angeles, we're going to see LeBron James take advantage of the Pelicans' scoring defense that allows 116.2 on the road, and a team that just beat him.

The home team has won four straight in this series, so look for the Lakers to make it five in a row.
